Exactly. Thanks, Rep. @tedlieu But it was both Robinhood and other brokerages using clearinghouse Apex Holdings. I don't use Robinhood, but had no acct access for hours, and many shorted stocks were unavailable for trade. Was told Apex blocked us.

Is there anything wrong with Robinhood stopping people from buying $GME or allegedly doing force sells? Likely. @SEC_Enforcement should investigate @RobinhoodApp.

@AOC @FSCDems It isn't just Robinhood blocking access and refusing to allow investors to trade stocks to which professional traders had unfettered access. It is https://t.co/evWxl3BEgU , TDAmeritrade, Fidelity, and many others. I was blocked from logging into my acct. for hours.

Both @AOC and @tedcruz agree... As a fmr US House Fin Svcs staff investigator, and the widow of a fmr member of the FSC, I support a series of investigations into the freezing of assets/denial of access of the 99% to "open" markets that only insiders are now allowed to trade in.

We now need to know more about @RobinhoodApp’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds are freely able to trade the stock as they see fit.

As a member of the Financial Services Cmte, I’d support a hearing if necessary.

This is beyond absurd. @FSCDems need to have a hearing on Robinhood's market manipulation. They're blocking the ability to trade to protect Wall St. hedge funds, stealing millions of dollars from their users to protect people who've used the stock market as a casino for decades.

Ally and other brokerages locked individual investors out of their personal accounts, holding their money hostage. This can't be legal. I don't trade on margin, or have millions of $$ in the market. I don't have massive positions in heavily shorted stocks. I'm locked out. @CNBC

Meanwhile hedge funds and institutional investors can continue to trade as normal.
