@EddieComeaux Instead of relying on police to work in an environment that they are not properly trained for, there should be a switch to relying on individuals who are trained to work with adolescents! Counselors, school psychologists, and after school programs make more sense #RacialJustice
@angelll27_@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar This article is super interesting and I think it poses some important topics regarding the NCAA that need to be looked over. It’s important that student athletes can receive a quality education, not just a degree! #ucr150 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely
#ucr150 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely The NCAA preaches that they are always considered “students” before “athletes”, but they don’t even have any set of rules that they enforces their biggest reason for being considered “amateurism” https://t.co/fbi3czRbpb
@angelll27_@MisssNallely @rabea_qamar #ucr150 @rabea_qamar @MisssNallely The NCAA makes so much money by exploiting their student-athletes while many of them are living below the federal poverty line 🤐
The NCAA often states that the SA’s education is always the priority, but their actions go against this. The NCAA puts the SA’s education on the back burner and devote their attention to the profits they are able to make. #ucr150 @rabea_qamar

I feel like that would have really had a negative impact on a lot of athletes if that had passed
If the NCAA stays that student athletes “shall be an integral part of the student body” then there shouldn’t be restrictions on their ability to transfer; they have to go through so many other difficulties that regular students don’t have to deal w/ @rabea_qamar #ucr150
@EmilyRamelot @MisssNallely Yeah this is a really scary scenario because these problems can affect them for the rest of their lives #ucr150 @rabea_qamar
