@TherapywithLove@DrBWillingham Went to undergrad in the same city as an Indian Nation University (their title). Small sample size but yes, my friends from that institution preferred just “Native” or “Indigenous.” Dropped the American.
@benwhitemd just ran into an issue with SoFi where they wouldn’t let me start the refinancing process (4 year residency, already matched) because I hadn’t graduated yet. No issue with Laurel Road. Am I missing something?

When the day comes, I can’t wait to introduce myself as Dr. Hall. As a first gen physician, that title means much more than most can understand. My ancestors are in that title. So are my mentors. Let’s allow for some grace when we talk about physicians taking pride in that title.
