Letting the USA host a World Cup was the worst thing possible.

This is the biggest sporting event which is meant to bring the world together. Instead this has been nothing but corruption, visa issues, travelling restrictions and injustice for certain countries.

This is probably the biggest scandal in World Cup history.

USA striker Folarin Balogun committed this outrageous foul against Bosnia and was shown a straight red card… but here’s where it gets crazy.

The White House publicly contacted FIFA and the tournament organizers, asking them to lift his suspension. And they actually did. Balogun is now eligible to play against Belgium.

The organizers cited something called a “probation period,” meaning the red card still stands, but instead of serving the mandatory suspension, he’ll only be punished if he commits a similar offense again.

A blatant manipulation of the rules for everyone to see, especially considering red-card suspensions are not supposed to be appealable.

When you’re expelled from school, but your dad is the Principal. 😭

On the one hand this World Cup has been amazing. Smaller teams playing incredibly, more teams, more matches. On the other hand the corruption is so blatant and so in your face it becomes hard to appreciate the beauty of the tournament.

I’m so happy that even the players are noticing how much favoritism he’s getting from the referee, and they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. It’s disgusting. They haven’t faced any tough opposition in the tournament so far, and the only strong team they’ve played was a small African country and, as usual, they ended up robbing them.
