Announcement!

Witton Chau, Daniela Carbonell and Jaden Teja will be joining the site and bringing you coverage of the Canucks, Abbotsford Canucks and prospects in the system.
The more I look at the #Canucks picks, the more I love Adam Novotny. The kid has serious top 6 upside. Getting him at 24 may be one of the steals of the draft. #NHLDraft
With the 2026 NHL Entry Draft now concluded, catch up on each of the #Canucks' nine picks via our draft tracker:

@drsmk0 The thing is next years draft is center and winger heavy. Obviously a lot will change by then.
But I think the Canucks still need to add more on the backend, Buium and Willander aren’t enough. They passed on Reid and Carels, but also passing on Villeneuve was a bit concerning.
Canucks have now made 9 selections at the 2026 NHL entry draft and have no picks left.
Vitals if they’re done for the day:
- 2 forwards under 6-foot-2
- 5 forwards over 6-foot-2
- 1 pick trade (2026 6th for 2027 5th)
- 1 goalie
- 1 D-man
- 1 B.C.-born player
- 1 WHL player
#Canucks have a clear target in this draft so far: size.
- Malhotra is 6'2"
- Novotny is 6'1"
- Rogowski is 6'7"
- Aaram-Olsen is 6'1"
- Bryzgalov is 6'4"
Same number of skaters drafted 6'4" or taller as under 6'2"
One of the coolest stories you'll see from this Draft 👏
Jaxon Cover grew up playing roller hockey in the Cayman Islands and didn't start organized ice hockey until he was 13.
Just five years later, he's a first-round NHL Draft pick 🤯
.@TheHockeyNews scouting report on Adam Novotny, the 24th overall pick by the #Canucks
“He’s a big, strong kid…he’s a goal scorer but does it with an edge to his game…his details are so good.”
Best Case: J.J. Peterka
