Israel destroying the foundations of humanity, literally & figuratively.
As the world unifies in horror, we can unify to stop the madness.
Complete military, economic, diplomatic boycott of genocidal Israel now.
Israel destroyed my house. The home my parents built for their family. They destroyed our gatherings, mornings and nights.
A strike on Sour (Tyre), a few seconds turned it to rubble and I hate the world for it.
I’ve just learned of the killing by Israel of one of the most courageous people I knew: rescuer Hussein Jaber from the Lebanese Civil Defence in Nabatieh.
I had known him for three years and met him many times. He was always inspiring, brave and endlessly helpful for many reporters.
We will not forget what Israel has done to Lebanon’s rescuers.
We will not forget Hussein.
This is Bint Jbeil in South Lebanon.
A historic town with roots stretching back over 3,000 years.
Israel is erasing an ancient village that is at least 40 times older than Israel itself.
And not a peep from the so-called “international community.”
South Lebanon is not just rubble & headlines.
Between the towns, villages, & hills lies a landscape of extraordinary beauty: fertile valleys, olive groves, rivers, abundant water resources, ancient archaeological sites, & breathtaking natural vistas that rarely make it into the news.
This is the region Israel has devastated; villages flattened, towns emptied, over 1 million Lebanese displaced since the escalation began.
Yet within the last 48 hours, prominent Israeli voices have openly advocated expanding into southern Lebanon & establishing permanent settlements there, some invoking biblical claims & framing the Litani River as Israel's natural northern border.
At the same time, ultra-orthodox & settler-linked groups (tied to Uri Tsafon) have been advertising properties in southern Lebanon for sale on their websites, listings treating Lebanese land as already controllable, with starting prices around 300,000 shekels ($80,000), urging "return to ancestral land."
The Litani River itself has been a coveted strategic water resource for Israel since early Zionist proposals in 1919, when leaders like Chaim Weizmann argued for its inclusion in the Jewish homeland to support agriculture & immigration - ambitions echoed by Ben-Gurion & Dayan, who viewed it as Israel's natural northern border.
This is not merely about security buffers or temporary military needs.
It is about land acquisition, demographic engineering, annexation, and permanent expansion under the cover of war.
The footage and stills show what they are trying to take: a region of profound natural, historical, and cultural richness.
This is what is at stake, & what the resistance is fighting against, & will not allow to materialise.
This is what the headlines rarely show.
This is what they are trying to steal. 😔🕊️
Israel’s forced displacement orders for 🇱🇧 are not only broad but also inaccurate.
Tyre’s mayor said the municipality had to draw its own map (left) based on the Israeli army’s version (right).
“Residents were panicking over whether their homes were inside the red zone.”
I am a US citizen & Surgeon who took care of the Boston Maraton Bombing victims in 2013. I paid for 7 years to own a small apartment in downtown #Beirut for my 3 kids to enjoy summers there. Today, #Israel reduced my dream home to rubble, with american weapons, paid by my taxes.
@asadabukhalil It’s so odd, I don’t understand how Lebanese can watch Israel decimate entire villages, displace a million people, create kill zones in our country and still not see it as a primary genocidal monstrous threat to all of us
The withdrawal order issued by the Lebanese president @LBpresidency to pull the army out of all southern areas at Israel’s instruction sends a stark and unmistakable message: the army is not there to defend the population, nor to fulfil the very function for which any army is created.
🇱🇧Before Hezbollah was even founded, children run in panic as Israeli occupation warplanes bombard Beirut during the 1982 Israeli occupation invasion of Lebanon. Scenes show terrified families and children rushing for cover as explosions tear through the city. The footage captures the relentless airstrikes that struck the Lebanese capital and its residential neighborhoods during the invasion. The bombing of Beirut and the targeting of civilian areas long predate Hezbollah's emergence as an organized group and Iran's support.

The Middle East war
Now in Lebanon:
Israeli strikes on Lebanon have killed at least 31 people and wounded 149, the health ministry said, as Israel threatened to intensify its attacks following Hezbollah rocket fire.
Never has the world seen a president anywhere with an IQ lower than room temperature. He launched a war while pretending to negotiate, misled the public about his intentions, and now has the audacity to accuse Iran of starting what he ignited.

A @RedCrossLebanon mission was dispatched to #Khiyam, a flashpoint town 6 km from the border, to rescue 21 people who had been trapped there for 1 week. They were all found dead. 5 bodies have been pulled out . The rest will be retrieved on Monday, according to official media.
BREAKING:
Israel is carpet bombing Tyre in South Lebanon, an ancient city with over 5,000 years of history and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tyre, a cradle of civilization that predates most nations is being systematically bombed by Israel, yet the world watches in silence.
