They only care about non-speaking autistics when they can perceive them as voiceless tools to use against other autistics - the moment non-speaking autistics have a voice and can argue back, they don't want to know. That isn't genuine concern for non-speakers.

@_katherine_may_ I managed to physically get my late husband to an appointment, that the reception staff claimed did not exist. Apparently a slightly raised distressed voice & a bit of arm waving was me "being extremely aggressive" so they told us to go. Immediately. WTF?
