جس وقت افغانستان میں جہاد کے نام پر پاکستان کو دھکیلنا تھا تو علماء اس کے حق میں فتوے دے رہے تھے اور کچے مذہبی ذہنوں کو یہ اسلام کی جنگ لگ رہی تھی۔جس وقت علماء دہشتگردی کے خلاف جنگ کو مقدس فریضہ قرار دے رہے تھے اس وقت بھی کچے ذہن اسکے ساتھ کھڑے ہوگئے۔ اب پاک فوج ایک بار پھر اپنی ڈالری جنگ کو کسی مقدس مشن سے جوڑ کر کچے ذہن خراب کررہی ہے۔

ابھی کچھ مہینے پہلے جب پاک فوج کے افسر جگہ جگہ بیانیے بنانے جارہے تھے تو ایک یونیورسٹی میں ایک میجر جنرل نے کشمیر کے موضوع پر فرمایا کہ کشمیریوں کو اپنی جنگ خود لڑنی ہے ہم ان کے لیے دعا کرسکتے ہیں۔ یہ اتنی بڑی فوج ، اتنا بجٹ ، کشمیر اور انڈیا کے لیے تھا۔ یہ فوج کشمیر کا ایک انچ نہیں لے پائی اور بھارت سندھ طاس معاہدہ معطل کرکے بچے کھچے دریاؤں پر بھی آبی پراجیکٹس بنائے جارہا ہے۔ ایک لاکھ کشمیری انہیں پکارتے پکارتے شہید ہوگئے یہ ادھر کا منہ نہ کرسکے۔

یہ جنگ اگر اس قدر مقدس تھی تو کٹھ پتلی پارلیمنٹ میں ہی اس کا معاہدہ پیش کردیا جاتا۔ کیوں اسے چوری کے مال کی طرح چھپایا جارہا ہے؟ مذہب جذبات کے نام پر بہت الو بن لیے اور بہت نقصان کروا لیا۔ ایران کی جنگ ، سعودی عرب کی جنگ یا امریکہ کی جنگ پاکستان کی جنگ نہیں ہے۔ وہ فوج جو آئین ، جمہوریت اور عوام کے ساتھ مخلص نہیں وہ پھر اسلام کے ساتھ بھی مخلص نہیں۔ یہ جنگ ہماری جنگ نہیں۔

The more illegitimate, discredited, and unpopular a military dictator is at home, the more he has to give up in sovereignty and national interest abroad.

It’s not hard to understand. Western powers have to secure their interests and allies in the Middle East, but unlike the old days, they want to do it at a fraction of the cost.

So they enlist the services of foreign military dictators that are willing to bypass their own national interest, public welfare, and sovereignty to deliver on the short term security needs of their foreign clients.

In return, a military dictator gets foreign legitimacy, some loans, and oxygen to survive.

Colonial extraction never really ended. It only changed it’s name to “geopolitics”.

Currently, my Aunties are still abducted. Family and lawyers have received no update on how they are, nor why they are incarcerated. Concerning my father, there is complete silence.

My brother and I have had no contact with him for more than six months. We do not even know the true state of his health.

Meanwhile, thousands of Pakistanis are peacefully taking to the streets to protest against his illegal and politically motivated imprisonment.

However, the people of Pakistan have not given up. No barricade, intimidation or repression can muzzle the people’s demand for justice and their democratic right to be heard.

There can be no lasting peace or stability while their democratic will is suppressed and their chosen leader remains behind bars.
