An outsider’s perspective of what Pakistan really is as compared to what its shown in media.
This oped by @Momalindi was indeed a sigh of relief amid bizzare state of affairs in home country.

Coming from Pak, I used to find the constant fire drills, assembly points, smoke detectors, alarms and countless fire exits in UK buildings excessive and sometimes boring. The tragic PIMS incident has made me realise how essential these measures are for public safety.

Pakistan>United Nations
Pak has proved that mere condemnation and giving statements is not what world needs in the time of chaos and uncertainty.
UN has clearly become politically potent and paralysed and not more than a “talking shop”.

Henry Kissinger, an expert on Diplomacy, defined it as the art of restraining power, balancing interests, and managing uncertainty. Pakistan is managing all three at the same time.
She is Pakistan!
Let’s not forget the remarkable efforts of Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch and her team in helping to avert one of the most serious global crises since World War II. More power to Pakistani women.
There could be no better player of twisting the facts than Pakistan’s judicial system and deep state. The unfair treatment of the eminent human right activists @ImaanZHazir and @AdvHadiali is a reminder/threat to those who want rule of law and question/challenge status quo.
The whole story of Ducky’s trial, exploitation and a shadow character helping him out clearly explains two types of govt servants in Pak. Those who serve their own interests and those who serve nation’s. As he aptly said no institution is bad but only some culprits!

When I defended my Master’s thesis under the bombing and rubble of Gaza, the very first question I was asked was:
“Why defend it under these circumstances? What benefit will it bring you now?”
I smiled and answered:
“Maybe I will die holding this degree, maybe it will be a symbol of resilience and strength, and maybe I will inspire others not to abandon their dreams — even in danger, even when death is near.”
This is who I am.
I am proud of what I did.
Proud that I defended my Master’s during the war.
Proud to have become a Palestinian researcher ✌️
Israel, as an occupying power, refuses to listen to anyone or heed any advice — even from its remaining friends, if any. It threatens members of int'l community, media, human rights & humanitarian organizations. It disregards the authority of the ICJ & ICC & intimidates the UN.
@HBLCare Here are all the emails I have sent and received for your kind info. Who takes a whole fucking month for a simple bank statement. Once this is sorted I’ll surely stop using this garbage bank that has no customer care
This is my formal proposition to the Jews, especially British Jews who keep saying that I, a part-Palestinian, British NHS doctor, should be deported. Since you have access to our British medical boards, media, police, and government, and have had me investigated by the GMC and defamed in the Daily Mail, I am prepared to give up my UK medical license and British passport if you deport me.
Not to my grandmother’s home in Ramallah. Deport me to Gaza. I will sign whatever you want, agreeing never to return. Get your 'israeli' lobbies—UKLFI, the Board of Deputies, LFI, CFI, BICOM, etc.—to pressure Britain to deport me to Gaza, and I will leave instantly.
