I just finished watching TMAP episodes 90–91, and I couldn't help but get teary-eyed witnessing how much they've grown.
I still remember the older TMAP episodes when they could barely cook, when even drinking beer was still a foreign thing to them. They were such babies back then. And now, look at how far they've come. It's bittersweet watching them grow up, but what I appreciate the most is that, despite all the changes, they're still the same TREASURE I've known and loved since the beginning. They still love, care for, and respect one another in the simplest yet most genuine ways.
I swear, the moment Yoshi held back his tears after tasting Jihoon's cooking made me so emotional. And seeing our maknaes, Junghwan and Jeongwoo, now taking the lead and helping their hyungs? My heart. The way they continue to assure us that they'll always be ten, even finding ways to make Kyukyu feel present with them, says so much about the kind of bond they share. And, of course, seeing our ever-patient sunshine finally get mad and frustrated was so funny, poor doydoy, HAHAHAHA.
There's just something so special about watching people you've known for years grow up. You get to look back at who they used to be while appreciating the people they've become. It's nostalgia in its purest form, a reminder of how time passes, how people change, and how some things remain the same.
And maybe that's why these episodes hit so close to home. Just like TREASURE, we're all growing up, too. Adulthood can be exhausting, overwhelming, and frustrating. Sometimes, we get so caught up in trying to keep up with life that we forget to slow down and simply live.
So I hope that, just like TREASURE, we also give ourselves, our loved ones, and the people around us the time and space to breathe. To rest without feeling guilty, to enjoy the little things, to find beauty in the quiet and peaceful moments, and to remember that life isn't always about moving forward. Sometimes, it's about stopping for a while and appreciating how far we've come.
Because we all deserve that kind of healing, too. The kind that reminds us that even as we grow older, we can still find comfort in the people we love, in the little things that make us happy, and in the moments that allow us to feel alive. 🫂
