Iraqi calligrapher Ali Zaman has completed what is believed to be the world’s largest handwritten Qurʾān after dedicating six years to the monumental project. The manuscript’s pages expand to three metres when opened and were written entirely by hand using traditional reed pens in the thuluth script. Zaman deliberately avoided all modern tools throughout the process.
Reflecting on the achievement, Zaman said the work fills him with deep gratitude and pride, describing it as a blessing to have been given the life and strength to complete it. The project was entirely self-funded, and its completion came despite serious health challenges that forced him to pause his work in 2023.
Born in Ranya in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Zaman developed an interest in Islamic calligraphy at the age of 12. In 2017, he moved with his family to Istanbul to pursue the Qurʾān project and further refine his craft, drawn by the city’s strong tradition and appreciation for calligraphic art. His completed manuscript now stands as a powerful testament to patience, faith, and devotion expressed through the written Qurʾān.

I want my Muslim brothers and sisters to repost this for the sake of Allah.
They lied to her about Islam and she decided to read by herself and made this video.
Let's get this viral to debunk the lies and propaganda that's being spread about our religion.
ISLAM IS THE BEST! 🤍
Nigerians need to make this video go viral and push it everywhere. The raw passion in his voice, the anger, the hunger, the desperation feels like a nation speaking through one man. I’ve rarely seen any content creator confront Tinubu this directly, without fear or soft language.
Alhamdulillahi! Islam is coming to every door, More Christians worldwide are embracing Islam the only true religion accepted by Allah, the God of Prophet Abraham, Moses, Adam, Ishmael, David, Solomon, Jesus and Muhammad SAW.
This is the oldest audio recording of Quran recitation (Surah ad-Duha) from Makkah in 1885, documented by the prominent Dutch orientalist Christiaan Snouck Hurgronje.
I spent a wonderful evening with the vibrant Guinean community in Co-op City yesterday. So grateful for the hospitality, delicious food and productive conversations about the future of the Bronx and our city.
@Desmond5467612@vanguardngrnews All this your myopic and sentimental views will never change anything, unless and until you realise that it's Only the Almighty Allah (SWT) has the power of changing any situation
