Today, we opened the Erbil Copper and Cable factory, an $80 million investment with the capacity to produce 100K tonnes of cable/year from scrap metal for the local market.

It has created 200 new jobs and export opportunities.

We’re just getting started.

Kavin Farms produces 120,000 liters of milk/day and over 1,000 new jobs.

To date more than 4,500 new factories have been licensed, many of which are now beginning to open their doors.

The first mixed school in the country emerged in Koya a hundred years ago.

I’m humbled to return to this great city to see that legacy continue at the Najiba Khan primary school and announce the start of the new term.

The people of Qushtapa deserve better services, fitting of their great sacrifice to our nation.

Water and electricity issues here and across Kurdistan will soon be problems of the past. That’s my promise.

Today’s activity is another important step in that national effort.
