I chaired a meeting of the Higher Committee for the Development of the Economic and Financial Sector, during which we reviewed Dubai’s key economic and financial performance indicators.

Guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, our economic foundations remain strong, our global competitiveness continues to advance, and our journey of growth moves steadily forward.

Dubai ranks first globally in FinTech, with over 10,000 active registered companies at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) attracted more than 55,000 new investors during the first nine months of this year, with international investors representing 72% of new entrants. In the virtual assets sector, trading volumes among licensed Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) reached a record AED 7.4 trillion over the past 12 months.

During the meeting, we also approved the strategic directions for the Dubai Gold Strategy. Dubai’s foreign gold trade reached approximately AED 1 trillion last year, marking a 60% year-on-year increase, with an estimated 15% of globally traded gold passing through Dubai annually. Our goal is to further reinforce Dubai’s leading international position in this sector.

Our economic indicators remain strong, and global confidence in Dubai continues to grow. Our strategies and teams are keeping pace with global developments, ensuring that we continue to serve the investors who have placed their trust in our city.
