Let me show you the largest immersive surgical training resource in the world. I will be showcasing in India next week, now interactive with hotspots and assessment tools. Convert everything into 6DoF is the plan. https://t.co/mBcYXfby3J is the future of surgical training
The Sunshine Coast, Australia. 6G enabled and ready for adoption of XR into healthcare training but are you ready? Discussing opportunies for rural and global health application with https://t.co/mBcYXfby3J at the XPLORE conferance tomorrow
I meet with Zambians and Cameroons tonight, go to the Gold Coast Australia next week and then India the week after. We plan VRiMS events in Kenya and Tanzania next year. This is the power of XR for global health.
In January of this year Apple dropped stereoscopic view for 360VR on YouTube. Not a major problem for low to middle income countries where most use android devices but a problem for the U.K. and so we built our own app, the VRiMS app for live streaming on android & iOS devices.
Can we convince surgical colleges or surgical associations that XR surgical training is the future? We have convinced the next generation, the VRiMS medical student surgical societies group Manchester, UCLAN, Lincoln, Buckinghamshire, KCL, Exeter, Sheffield, BSMS and St George’s
Looking forward to showcasing the VRiMS/XRiMS app phase 1 with live streaming and restreaming immersive training at the XPLORE conferance in Australia. What makes us stand out is that our board is entirely consultant and professor led.XR for global & humanitarian health.
Looking forward to this, a chance to showcase the largest immersive surgical training resource in the world at the XPLORE conference in Australia which includes every surgical specialty, built by surgeons for surgeons. @VRIMS_Lab
Had a go with the Tobii eye tracking glasses to develop ML approaches on histological and dermascopic evaluation of head and neck malignancies, methodological design for our AI and AR skin cancer app and clinical trial development
Great initiative by the @VRIMS_Lab team to integrate XR into undergraduate surgical societies, every medical school represented, XR workshops, competition to build VR surgical app, group led by medical students chair Abdulwali Yasini (UCLAN) co-chair Siddarth Komperla (Sheffield)
This one will be special. It is where my migrant parents came from. I meet heads of regional medical schools to discuss integration of XR in undergraduate and postgraduate surgical curriculum in Punjab, India. Despite all the challenges my vision is clear. https://t.co/mBcYXfby3J
This is wonderful to see, a photoshoot for the press release for NHS mandatory training using virtual reality. A simple idea executed so wonderfully by the project lead Dr Jonathan Fenn in collaboration with East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service with @VRIMS_Lab
The first four LMiC countries for VRiMS XR hubs have been selected. Congratulations to Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon and Zambia. We aim for 20 in total within the year. Equipped with XR training hardware, software & the largest worldwide surgical immersive training resource @VRIMS_Lab
We didn’t start with hardware, we didn’t start with software, we started with content creation. We built the largest immersive surgical training resource in the world. We built an immersive 6DOF multiuser fire safety app for mandatory training for £1.3million NHS workers
Gold Coast Australia XR conference with live stream, restream, VR with 6DoF, augmented reality, spatial computing and XR impact on global health with scientific evaluation, IP protection and building a Medtech concept. I have a story to tell. https://t.co/mBcYXfby3J
VRiMS/XRiMS going to the Gold Coast, Australia for the inaugural XR in healthcare event with the XPLORE conference to showcase our scaleable and accessible approach to XR in surgical training and also our vision for XR in global health and scientific evaluation @VRIMS_Lab
