@robotsuffrage Pumpkin seeds are delicious and I fear widely neglected by the legions of once a year pumpkin carvers emerging in autumn. I brought Tupperware to a group pumpkin carving contest recently, and emerged with a decent haul, but maybe only 25% of what was generated there. Wasted yums!

I saved months of parmesan cheese rinds in the freezer. I simmered the rinds down for hours in water. Then I made potato leek soup with that recycled parmesan stock. It was good!
