Alhamdulillah, CHAMPIONS 🏆
So proud of my team, we stood together through everything. Hard work never goes unnoticed.
I was once a ball picker, standing on the sidelines, dreaming of moments like this. Now I wish, If even one ball picker today picks up a bat tomorrow believing they can become a cricketer, then THIS VICTORY MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME.
Grateful to my family, Zalmi management, and my friends for always being in my corner, no matter what 💛
Over 200 Pakistani nationals are currently in the custody of Cambodian police, facing severe conditions including lack of food, water, and safe accommodation, held together in overcrowded and unsafe facilities, where living conditions are extremely harsh.
With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.
Both parties have displayed remarkable wisdom and understanding and have remained constructively engaged in furthering the cause of peace and stability. We earnestly hope, that the ‘Islamabad Talks’ succeed in achieving sustainable peace and wish to share more good news in coming days!

A Digital ID is legally equivalent to a physical ID card. However, some offices and service providers are still asking citizens to present a physical card or photocopy instead of accepting the Digital ID available through NADRA services.

The reality of the PIA sale!
PIA should have been privatised long ago. But the reality of PIA's privatisation should be much more a wake up moment, rather a celebration.
The biggest learning from PIA's privatisation should be to see how little investment interest there is in Pakistan's economy.
- Multiple missed deadlines and one failed attempt show that even generating interest was a major challenge.
- Not a single international investor in play - not only shows the lack of trust by international investors, but also how small Pakistan's aviation market is. Not one of the major airlines with operations in Pakistan bid; Emirates; Qatar; Etihad; Turkish; Thai. Nor any other airline - meaning there was no one who thought that the market opportunity of direct flights to international destinations, outside of a few, is a significant one.
- The signal that Fauji Fertiliser will partner the winner bidder is clearly an insurance policy, meaning that even the largest domestic houses do not trust the state to otherwise act on commitments it has given to make this investment viable. The KESC and Etisalat experiences, for example, act as major deterrents.
- Traditionally, deals with buyer commitments to invest have resulted in fingerpointing at buyers and deals have turned sour. So there is a long road ahead.
- Unless the economy transforms, PIA can really only be a limited operation at scale. And this is the wake up and smell the coffee moment. The only international destinations where demand for daily services will be consistent will include London, Dubai, Jeddah / Riyadh, and maybe New York. The only domestic routes with critical mass of daily demand include Islamabad - Karachi and Lahore - Karachi. That is just the reality of our economy.
If in four years, this regime has been unable to change the economy, it will not do it now through fumbling through the sale of state owned entities.
It's really time to back off!
After two years of war and widespread destruction, students have returned to in-person classes at Gaza’s Islamic University, determined to continue their education despite the damage.
The university, heavily damaged by Israeli attacks, also shelters forcibly displaced families.
Extremely sad to hear about the passing of Dr. Arfa Syeda

A woman of great courage, intellect, and compassion. Had the honour of meeting her at TEDxFC in 2011.
She will truly be missed. May her soul rest in peace. Ameen!
This post by Najam reflects our society’s deep ignorance towards mental health and this is exactly where the problem starts.
We are quick to label people as coward without realizing the silent battles they might have been fighting for years. Mental stress can break even the strongest, most disciplined, and bravest individuals, including those in uniform.
Depression, trauma, and burnout are not signs of weakness. They are illnesses that require empathy, understanding, and treatment just like any other disease. When someone in distress reaches a breaking point, it’s not a lack of courage; it’s the result of a pain we failed to see or take seriously.
As a society, we need to stop mocking the victims and start questioning why we create environments where people feel there’s no way out.
Talk about mental health. Listen without judgment. Offer help instead of ridicule.
