🚨🎙INTERVIEWER: Aubameyang, you have to be honest with this question: which of the clubs you’ve played for before would you love to go back and play for again, and why?
🗣🎙Aubameyang: "I wasn't expecting this kind of question, to be honest, but I’ll say CHELSEA. Why? Because I feel like I owe them the performance of a proper striker. Something they couldn’t really get from me back then when I joined the club. Though the squad at the time wasn’t good enough compared to the players they have now. Chelsea fans are really good people as well, they show you love and support as long as you’re playing for them, and they’re very desperate to win. I love that mentality, to be honest".
"I think moving there back then was a big mistake for me. Things didn’t work out well for me as the striker because Chelsea’s pattern of play was more about having the wingers and midfielders do most of the work, scoring goals and all of that — while the striker struggled. I don’t know why, but if I had to return to one of the clubs I’ve played for, it would be Chelsea".
"If you’re playing for Chelsea or Real Madrid, you’re likely to win a major trophy within two or three years rather than at most other clubs in Europe. Everyone knows that. Chelsea and Madrid always have a way of winning big things. So that’s it."
🚨🗣️ 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Ruud Gullit is RIPPING into the current game of football!
"I have decided to STOP watching football. I don't enjoy our sport anymore. I watched Arsenal vs Chelsea, what an absolute GARBAGE match of football!"
"I see players trying to create corner kicks, trying to create throw-ins, I see ball boys ready to give towels to the players. Football has become absolutely HORRIBLE. I hope that this is not the path we are heading at."
"I am waiting for players who will take on defenders again, someone like Lamine Yamal. I am missing the joy! I just don't enjoy football anymore."
"Everyone is executing tasks on the pitch. Where are the players dribbling? Where are the players with b*lls? WHY IS EVERYONE PASSING?! PASSING! PASSING! PASSING!"
@ArsenalReviewed@CPFCHQ Worth noting that there was a foul in the build up to this anyway. Even if it was a pen VAR would have pulled it back for a free kick
@Jdownes15 I sat in the home end opposite the Town fans today, couldn't get a ticket in the away end as this is my first year since I was a kid without a season ticket because of the state of the club. Strange atmosphere all round but sadly weren't really given anything to cheer. Sad times!
One decision is given as a goal and the goal stands.
One decision is given offside and the goal is disallowed.
Make it make sense! @premierleague#MUNCHE#PremierLeague#Chelsea
🫶 Genk's second choice goalkeeper Brent Stevens saved a penalty on his professional debut yesterday, the same week he lost his father. ❤️
The opposition fans even applauded him. This is why football is such a special sport. 👏
@Ollie_Westbury Striker who hasn't scored a league goal in over a year. For a club struggling for funds right now I don't see much sense in this. Happy to be proven wrong though
