🚨 Fenway Sports Group confirm a deal to sell around 30% of Liverpool to the 1892 Holdings Amit Bhatia-led consortium for around £1.65bn.
Bhatia will also become Liverpool’s new vice-chairman.
Elaine Saverin and Bryan Baum will both sit on the board. Baum will represent Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
FSG stay as majority owners and the day-to-day running of the club is unchanged.
The deal is still subject Independent Football Regulator and Premier League Owners’ and Directors’ test approvals.🔴
🗣️ Mike Gordon: “Liverpool has always been built by thinking beyond one season and making decisions with the club’s long-term interests in mind. That approach continues to attract interest from respected investors and business leaders around the world. As we considered this opportunity, it became clear that Amit and the consortium shared our long-term philosophy and appreciation for what makes Liverpool special. Their experience and perspective will complement the strong foundation already in place, and we look forward to working together.”
🗣️ Amit Bhatia: “We are incredibly proud to be investing in Liverpool Football Club and to be doing so alongside FSG. We have the utmost respect and admiration for FSG as owners and for everything they have achieved at Anfield. To be welcomed as a partner in a club of this stature is a huge privilege. We are making this investment because we believe deeply in Liverpool and its leadership, and we look forward to supporting the club’s continued success for years to come.”

My first win since my dad passed. I don’t like to talk about it much, but the last two months have been really tough. I’m missing my crew chief, my driver coach, my dad, the guy who I looked up to more anyone. I know he would be proud the way I ran the top (much better than him lol) to win my first Micro A-Main at Port City. We love and miss you so much dad.💚

Meet Parker Peach 🍑⛳️
Parker is a 7-year-old from Moon, Pa. who competed this week at the 106th WPGA Junior Championship.
The youngest player in the field by six years, Parker shot a score of 111 on a course playing over 6,800 yards Monday, becoming perhaps the youngest player ever in a WPGA Major championship.
A member at Montour Heights Country Club who has had success competing at a national level already, Parker faced off Monday against multiple Division I recruits and finished ahead of players nearly a decade older than himself! 👏
Not great. To be sure, not a smoking gun -- generous interpretation is that maybe he saw a clump that was similar to his and wanted to see how it felt. And again, he is far from the only guy who does stuff like this.
But also ... not great.
Just talked to Miles Russell for a bit about his dad caddying for him up 18. Miles said it was his idea and his dad didn't know it was going to happen.
Steve Wheatcroft encouraged him to do it because he did the same at the U.S. Open once with his dad.
Dad didn't know about it because Miles only told his mom and a couple of friends. Said they didn't say much to each other coming up 18 because his dad was just taking it all in. Couldn't tell if he was emotional because he had sunglasses on.
Dad offered him a read on 18 and Miles told him, "I'm all right." 😂
All-time moment.
Miles Russell with a Father’s Day gift for the ages.
Brought his dad inside the ropes to caddie so he could walk the 18th hole with him at his first major championship.
His dad apparently had no idea.
Special.
