An incredible headline for the one of the most prominent stories on campus this year. Per Professor Siebert, you can only use “gate” once per year. #MediaEdit

“I believe that if I did not talk to the Dean of Students, I would still be sleeping in that room today,” Cruz said. “It’s just ridiculous that it had to lead to a point that someone finally got sick, and they had to finally take charge of it.”
A novel event on campus, as the baseball and softball fields, will both be getting a turf infield. The softball team will be the first in the conference to have turf. #MediaEdit
Simpson college recently announced upgrades to Bill Buxton Stadium, McBride Field, the Simpson Softball Complex, Cowles Field and Hopper Gymnasium.
@jakebrend32 has the details on the project that will be completed over the summer of 2022.
A prominent event on campus that Ethan Humble did a great job covering. Mold can affect practically everyone, so this is very prominent and to everyone that lives on campus. This is some good investigative journalism. #MediaEdit
There have been several instances of mold in residential halls this fall at Simpson College. Simpson junior Frank Cruz developed bronchitis while mold was in his room before maintenance addressed the issue several days later.
SCTV's @Humblestruck has the story.
A great headline that shows just how corrupt American politics is. The headline follows subject-object-very and uses good keywords for online. #MediaEdit
The Wyoming Republican Party will no longer recognize Rep. Cheney as a member of the GOP in its second formal rebuke for her criticism of former President Trump. https://t.co/cQEISVih79
A very newsworthy action from our friends on the other side of the world. To my knowledge, Australia is the first to implement restrictions like this nationwide, so it's a very novel news story. #MediaEdit
Austria will introduce a new type of lockdown tomorrow, during which unvaccinated people will have fewer rights than vaxxed.
Fewer than two-thirds of Austrians have been fully vaxxed. I suspect other nations will watch with interest to see what happens, and the public reaction
According to @JordynWilsonPR, @BrianSteffen uses a lot of hashtags to bring in voices other than just his followers to join the conversation. #MediaEdit
This is a headline that caught my attention and it shows novelty. I can't imagine hearing this headline four years ago, but it shows the impact Tik Tok has had on my generation. #MediaEdit
The Tik Tok hand signal referenced in this story is from the Toronto-based Canadian Women's Foundation (!!) and it helped save at 16-year-old girl in Kentucky who was reported missing for two days: https://t.co/wAhPDFqgYk
A very prominent story that ended up being fact-checked to show that the Colorado hospitals aren't able to prioritize care because of vaccination status. #MediaEdit
Contrary to false claims being spread on social media, a Colorado executive order doesn’t authorize hospitals to turn away patients because they are unvaccinated or prioritize care for those who are vaccinated. @AP has the facts. https://t.co/jZp4B1QtlB
Following their best finish at the A-R-C Championships since 2009, the @SimpsonXCTF women entered the @USTFCCCA Midwest Region Rankings for the first time in program history.

A great informative graphic from the Simpsonian. I was looking for this information on Simpson’s website and couldn’t find it, so this graphic was what I needed. #MediaEdit
Student voting on the Simpson College campus reached new heights in 2020. Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, Simpson's student voting rose to 75.3% in 2020, an institutional record and a 14.7% increase from 2016.

I was sitting in the Gaumer lab when I saw a big cloud of smoke so I ran and shot some video of a news story that had proximity to campus, visual impact, timeliness and conflict (firefighters fighting the fire.) #MediaEdit
There was an RV fire one block north of the Station Square Apartments on N Howard Street this afternoon.
The Indianola Fire Department reported to the scene quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to any houses or cars. No one was injured.
@jakebrend32 shot the video.
