Math world… In my class we are looking at factoring. What sort of feedback would you give to this student?
Many definitions of factoring refer to “expressing the polynomial as a product of two or more factors.” Have they done that?

@NayoungWeaver @GlobalKdsl@mrjohnsonpaints @teachntransform Thanks for these resources- as of now I want my classroom to reflect my international classroom demographics. But I don’t have an exact vision either.
The @mrjohnsonpaints Etsy page looks great and I’ll check that out.
I’d certainly be interested in the “math fails” posters too!
Setting up my Middle School Mathematics classroom. Would love for anyone to share some great diversity/equity/inclusion/justice posters and resources to help me out! Preferably relevant to math, but happy for anything!
Overheard another teacher leaving his cohort session: “That was mental gymnastics in there... and I like gymnastics!” I hear ya! ‘Stretching’ our views and philosophies at #KSI19#mslearns
Day 2 at KSI: Growth mindset and the challenges of assessment and homework in math. We talked about frustrations in teaching math and what we would like the subject to be. Well, what’s stopping us? We tell our students to not fear failure, but do we model that? #mslearns#KSI19
Day 1 of KSI is wrapping up! The day involved a lot of conversations about mathematics, diversity and equity, and we finished the day learning about the research on how students learn. Now, time for some reading and some rest! #mslearns#ksi19
