Here is my #NHLDraft Top 50, including where they ended up going in the 1st round in brackets; #Preds got a steal at 17th and the Habs didn't screw up 1st overall, smh ๐ช
Carolina takes a chance on Ivan Ryabkin.
Came into the season as a potential top 5 pick. Inconsistency, attitude/commitment/work rate issues plagued him all season.
But there's no denying the kid has skill.
#LetsGoPens select William Horcoff 24th. I ranked him 265th.
Horcoff is an odd one - his NCAA production was respectable, but <= 1/2 P/GP in NTDP and USHL is not good for a player in his draft year. Good chance the model is underrating him here.
I love what New York #Isles have been able to do so far, Schaefer is obviously a great pick up for any team, and Eklund and Aitcheson are both awesome picks at 16 and 17. They basically picked up a full top pairing and a future top 6 scoring forward, great day for that franchise
Carbonneau is also great value for the #stlblues at 19, top 10 (in this draft) level scorer with some sandpaper in his game as well, I had him ranked 9th
Love the Andreyanov pick for #CBJ , I had him at 41 but 20 is probably accurate value, it was just hard to see an NHL team pick a russian goaltender over Ravensbergen in the current climate. Pyotr is probably an equivalent if not better goaltender
