🚨 Man City pushing hard for Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille. High among 18yo’s suitors (#PSG not in contention) & while others favour season on loan at #LOSC, #MCFC would integrate now. Price ~€100m + Morocco int’l expected to make decision soon @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/W4oq8mi9RD
The World Cup is at the semi-final stage: 44 teams have gone home, and a quartet remain standing.
How do the final four rank?

Would love to sell him and Lavia this summer… and given we have no Europe I think it’s necessary.
Caicedo
Enzo
Barco
Essugo
Reece James (part time)
New midfielder (a good one)
I’d be content with that
🚨 EXCL: Manchester United reach agreement with Chelsea to sign Andrey Santos. Deal for 22yo #CFC midfielder worth £48m + £2m easily achievable add-ons & 10% sell-on clause. Permission given to undergo #MUFC medical; personal terms in place @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/TY4qfwhHT4
This way if Enzo goes then it’s not a massive issue if the new midfielder is a good one. End of the day it’s one game a week for most of the season, we have to be realistic with our depth.

Pochettino and Maresca got full media days before their first training session, we not getting any Xabi content before tomorrows first pre season training session? 🥲 #CFC
Told Chelsea consider Marco Palestra as one of their “ready-made” signings for this summer (21yo Italy international, Serie A Defender of the Year for 2025-26, versatility will aid Xabi Alonso)
🚨 Paris Saint-Germain view Bradley Barcola as not for sale, regardless of arrivals + reluctance to sign new deal. #PSG value 23yo much higher than £116m #MCFC spending on Anderson. Ramos, Lee, Kolo Muani exits create squad & financial space @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/WUN7skd1TC
Maresca has issued his own statement: "At the end of December 2025, I made the difficult decision to leave Chelsea. In full below.
"The decision was only mine. My resignation from Chelsea opened a path for me to join Manchester City, which is a club I knew very well. I am ecstatic that I have now joined Manchester City.
"I recognise that my departure from Chelsea in the middle of the season caused disruption for the club and I apologise for that. It was neither my intention nor my wish.
"I was treated well by everyone at Chelsea and together we achieved great success and memories that I will always treasure.
"I am grateful to the club, the owners and the fans for giving me the opportunity."
