🇪🇺🇩🇪 The EU just gave Angela Merkel its highest honor, the European Order of Merit.
As German Chancellor she:
1) ordered the destruction of all nuclear power plants, which produced 30% of Germany’s electricity
2) she opened the borders flooding Europe with millions of Muslims

CPI figures are bolstering the Fed’s hawkish stance, while geopolitical uncertainty regarding potential U.S. military operations threatens European energy supply chains.
Given these headwinds, a technical retracement of EUR/USD toward the 1.1700 appears increasingly likely.

🚨 US Inflation Heat Check 🚨
CPI jumped to 3.8% in April. While energy & gas are driving the headlines, core inflation (excl. food/energy) remains sticky at 2.8%, well above the Fed’s 2% target.
The pain points:
- Real wages fell 0.5% this month—inflation is officially eating up pay raises again.
- Shelter and apparel costs are climbing.
- Gas prices are averaging $4.50/gal.
The Bottom Line: With inflation heading in the wrong direction, don't expect rate cuts anytime soon. Markets are even starting to whisper about potential hikes. The "financial squeeze" is getting real for the American middle class.

TRUMP FRUSTRATED BY IRAN PUSH FOR WAR DAMAGES
Two regional diplomats say Iran’s demand for war damages is frustrating Trump. They said Trump opposes the term “reparations” in any proposal because it could imply the U.S. accepted defeat.
The diplomats, who spoke anonymously due to the sensitive negotiations, said Pakistan is trying to broker a U.S.-Iran agreement to end the war and keep talks going on unresolved issues.
One diplomat said Pakistan’s leadership — including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Army Chief Asim Munir — has been in contact with both sides and regional governments to help preserve the ceasefire, end the conflict and secure in-person talks next week.
The White House did not immediately comment.

Germany is so far gone that even immigrants have their own jokes about themselves all being on welfare while the natives work to pay for their lifestyle.
I will never understand this continent's willingness to put itself into servitude for the entire third world.
It's sad.
NOW - Ursula von der Leyen says that the Middle East crisis has made clear, "the only lasting way out of the fossil dependency is to modernize" by shifting to green energy and "electrifying the economy as rapidly as possible."
Why is he complaining about NATO every single day? If Americans hate it so much, why don't you leave it then?
The phase 'Against Russia' is quite a myth, isn't it? Russia has been struggling for 4 years in Ukraine, and all of a sudden, they will attack Europe with a much BIGGER military. I don't think so...
Trump on NATO:
"We've spent billions of dollars on that useless organization… and that's going to be under very tough scrutiny from now on."
"For years we've paid to protect Europe from Russia… when in reality it's us who end up protecting ourselves alone. It's ridiculous. I've been saying it for a long time. The party's over. Thank you very much."
@nicksortor I always thought NATO was defensive aliance 🤔 unless EU should defend US interests…
And the memory doesn’t serves well either. “They will never come to our rescue”. 2001 is not that long ago to forgot 😀
