Everyone at the Club is deeply saddened to learn of the death of former Dorchester Town Youth footballer Robinson Okumu.

Robinson was a hugely talented sprinter and a much loved member of Dorchester Athletics Club. He went on to represent Dorset Schools, South West England and was competing for England in Italy, when he tragically passed away, just aged 25.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the repatriation and funeral costs for anyone wishing to support his family at this heartbreaking time.

Rest in Peace, Robinson.

Nearly 200 games representing our country as manager and player and disrespected for the majority of his career, responsible for some of the best days of my life.

No overseas manager will ever care this much for our country.

Always thankful, Sir Gareth Southgate 🫡

Whatever happens from here, I’m so grateful for this man and what he’s done for us as a nation. Three semi finals in 4 attempts after 0 in 25 years is absolutely unbelievable. The football might not be perfect, but who the fuck cares.

We are #Euro2024 semi finalists yet again 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
