Well, in light of where this site seems to be headed and what it was used for this week, now's a good time to saw that I'm moving my main brain zone over to Mastodon.
You can find me here: https://t.co/Fg3N9np8gN
I have Aero’d
the Galactus
that you played at
the Ice Box
and which
you were probably
using
to win one cube
Forgive me
it was so satisfying
so sweet
and so cold
#MarvelSnap
Finally, we had been listening to the Amazing Tales podcast and took inspiration for a simple combat system: opposed rolls from monsters, higher hits (as long as it's above 4). Damage is always 1 HP or other fixed value. Zelda-esque HP hearts. Classes start w fixed HP, 2-4.
Started a new mini-campaign with the 7yo and a friend of mine, starting w JP Coovert's Dragon Town. Leveled up the system we use a bit and it's working great!
Picked up Windsor-Smith's Monsters. Thinking of pairing it with Phil Tippett's Mad God. (Two independent side project magnum opuses w/ dark & disturbing themes created by visionary visual creators they've been working on for more than 30 years that were finally released in 2021.)
Did they reverse the order of the "Your opponent retreated" and "Victory" messages in Marvel Snap? A bit odd feedback-wise but I do like the sudden "Victory!"
@diogo_oldskull We have a small group doing this monthly, minus the playing. That would be quite a commitment, but certainly amazing. About to start our sixth book.
