@MiguelDelaney VAR don’t intervene for yellow cards though do they? Only straight red card offences. As I say it’s on the ref to interpret it consistently and for their bosses to address it if it’s not enforced properly

@MiguelDelaney I don’t think it’s difficult to book a player for kicking the ball away. It’s an obvious & deliberate action (which they do their best to disguise but it’s obvious). The trouble will be if different refs are more lenient on it than others. In which case they should be reprimanded

@MiguelDelaney But it’s on the refs to be consistent. It’s on their bosses to make sure they are consistent in their enforcement. And for the rest of us to hold them to account when they fail. I hate the kicking the ball away tactic. It’s absolutely scummy and is an easy yellow card for me.

@AdamCrafton_ @susegadkamat And I say that with great respect. If this is the type of player he is then he can be a great asset but the wide players need sorting. As does a more reliable attacking midfielder than the woeful Bruno. Is it worth playing Eriksen as the 10 with Ugarte coming in?

@AdamCrafton_ @susegadkamat Feel he’s a clever type of player, drops into good spaces ala Kane and probably a better comparison Firmino (especially with the Salah/Mane theme). The wide players for Utd just aren’t at that level (yet at least). Is this what the scouts expected from Zirkzee when he was signed?
