May not look like much - but its taken a lot of effort to get my asset pack converted from #UnrealEngine to #unity3d and still have all the features in the shaders that I wanted. Exciting moment for me. #gamdev#IndieGameDev
Guess I never really post here, but I made a thing - an asset pack for the Unreal marketplace to build modular buildings in as simple a way as I could make it while prioritizing modularity.

@RohanCreates Just chatGPT, use it for quicker searches for documentation. Its okay for Houdini, sidefx documentation is too good, but its great for things like Unity where the documentation is a fragmented piece of ass.
wanted to share how i go about texturing the ruins i make in substance painter, i don't know if these are well-known tricks or not but in any case they are very helpful for me so i hope it's helpful to someone else too!
@lucyamorris Just got set up with a Any Cubic 2k mono. Was like a hundred and fifty bucks on sale, plug and play, no fuss set up FDM printing. The amount of detail is pretty insane. Theres 8k printers out there but with the level of detail it currently prints I probably wouldnt need anymore..
Unreal's Niagara isn't just for particles/FX, it can be used for general purpose computing. eg making a 'Relaxed Cone Step Map' https://t.co/mfHF2BpAbe.
If you like Parallax Occlusion Mapping, then you'll like this. Less steps and less artefacts. This is a single quad.
Saturday morning Relaxation and Development. Someday I'll have to start working on gameplay, but today is not that day #indiedev#unrealengine#environmentart
Thanks for all the kinds words - it's really heartening to see that this project is resonating with people! Here's the animated version of the scene. #madewithunity#indiedev#gamedev
