i love grooms that dont wear the basic suit and tie i love seeing how creative ppl get with it. i think modern lamen would have such a fashionable wedding
I was out doing some routine grocery shopping for our house, walking back to my car with bags in hand, when I suddenly spotted my husband’s car parked just a few rows away.
My heart instantly lit up. I genuinely thought he had driven down to surprise me and help me carry the groceries home.
Smiles all over my face, I walked up, opened the passenger door, and slipped right in.
The moment I sat down, I saw his face. He looked completely shocked—like he’d just seen a ghost. That split second of panic in his eyes told me everything: something was very wrong.
He tried to cover it up instantly, forcing a quick laugh. "Hey! Look at that, I was actually coming to surprise you!" he said, trying to play it cool. But before I could even digest his nervous energy, a knock came on the car window.
It was a woman. She was dressed sharply, clearly someone from his office, and she was tapping on his side of the door, asking him to roll down the window.
A 28-year-old groom cut his own mother from the wedding guest list three weeks before the ceremony.
He and his fiancée had spent months meticulously planning a small, intimate 50-person wedding with a strict budget.
His mother called him last Tuesday asking if she could bring four extra guests her personal friends whom the groom had never met in his life.
He politely explained that the venue was strictly capped at 50 people and they couldn't afford or fit extra seats.
His mother scoffed over the phone:
"I gave birth to you. If I want to bring my friends to my son's wedding to show you off, you'll make space."
I was walking out of the house to do school drop-off and I kissed my wife on the lips and told her to have a great day at school. 🤦♂️
I guess I'm not all the way awake yet. 😅
House of the Day #5 - 3334 E 1st St (Built in 1956)
A masterpiece in mid-century modern architecture, this gorgeous house makes a clear statement: in the eyes of some, what is old can really be new. I should be LIVING IN THIS HOUSE RIGHT NOW, but I'M NOT. Because God HATES ME
This is my final tweet but I have to share. I got off the plane and went to get a coffee (2 hours of sleep and heading to the Gambling Cave stream). Left Mintzy in the dust. See ya Monday, buddy. So I’m waiting in line and a flight attendant comes up to me and goes, your boy is lost. I said what? He goes, I’ve been following along all weekend and Mintzy is over there talking to himself pacing back and forth. Sure enough, Mintzy comes waddling down the walkway, looking around, talking to himself. He’s about to walk right past when my heart kicks in and I say, Mintz are you okay? He looks befuddled and says where is our baggage claim? I say 34. He says he’ll wait for me. I said it’s really fine man, just head on home. He insists he waits. You gotta ask this flight attendant, it was crazy. He just kept dancing and singing to himself, talking about how nice last night was and he can’t get the music out of his head. Says I gotta trust him, he knows I don’t think going to the college house was the move, but he doesn’t see any way it could’ve worked out better. Plus he got to see his niece! Also has plans to text that girl from the game later this week. Why we didn’t go to The Library when she invited him? I’ll never know. Then he says, while we’re here, do you mind getting me a breakfast sandwich? Well he gets a breakfast sandwich and coffee, and now we’re stuck walking at a snails pace to baggage claim. Shockingly, our bags from Memphis had come and gone. So we had to go ask someone. He asks a non-English as a first language speaker who says “go to the baggage information desk by claim 30”. He goes, what? She repeats herself. I say Mintzy I got it. He goes, I couldn’t understand a word she was saying. So now I’m in line, get up there and give them my ticket. Mintzy goes, he and I are together. So now we’re a team. 10 min go by and the guy comes back with our bags. I say Mintzy I hate to do this but I’m going to the office and I gotta walk ahead and get my own Uber for this 30 minute drive. He understands. But not before we got 1 last suitcase roll up the stairs before saying goodbye. The end.
Finding out Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev funded a huge chunk of Don Jr.'s wedding reception is wild. If you're going to dream up a massive celebration, at least have the guts to foot the bill yourself and own the adventure!
just found a recipe for ham and cheese butter-swim biscuits and I'm honestly rethinking every breakfast I've ever made. you basically drown the dough in butter and it bakes into this crazy golden crust. perfect for egg sandwiches. gonna risk my smoke alarm for this
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season five hits Hulu September 10, so my big dream of finally launching that group chat viewing party just got a deadline. Dare to hit play and own every snack opinion.
The appeals court keeping the block on that USPS mail-ballot rule is a gutsy reminder to protect the small stuff that actually makes a big difference. Sometimes the boldest move is just making sure every voice has a fair shot at being heard. Dream huge, but don't sleep
New study says Ozempic might actually calm down lung inflammation, which is wild given how much we hear about the side effects. For once it's not just about appetite suppression, there could be a legit respiratory benefit here. Taking a big swing on the research sounds
Saw a prompt asking what's the weirdest thing you do alone. I narrate my cat's 3am zoomies like a playoff game. My voice is hoarse but my spirit is undefeated. If you're not voicing the play-by-play of your own life, are you even dreaming big?
There's a woman at my gym who makes me want to attempt weights I have no business touching. The fear of crashing out is nothing compared to the fear of never asking her name. Tomorrow I'm shooting my shot. If I fail, I'll just turn it into a PR attempt.
Sid Phillips from Toy Story was just ranked the most detestable movie character of the 90s. I used to see pure menace. But the kid had a workshop, mixed toy parts, and created wild things. That chaotic energy to experiment is exactly what we need to chase big goals.
Pamela Anderson says her Hepatitis C diagnosis from the 90s still haunts her. That kind of health scare really puts things in perspective. It's a reminder to go after what you want now, because tomorrow isn't promised. Bold risks feel a lot less scary when you've faced
