I suppose if we thought deeper about it. As of right now it’s just kind of a “being honest with yourself” kind of thing
If I have just read a headline then I give it 5%
If I groked it and read some articles and I feel like I understand then I give it about 60%
But if I went in depth, read many articles, asked grok, read the real laws regarding whatever the situation is, then I give it about 95%(never can be 100%! lol)
Here’s what I started doing with people close to me to combat misinformation
At the end of each sentence we put a (50%) which signifies how much research we’ve done on a subject. So if we are just repeating some BS headline that we didn’t actually look into, we give it a (5%) so we don’t mistakenly convince our friend it’s true. If we researched it in depth and are quite sure of the sentence then we can give it a (95%)
Not only does it help us not persuade each other of BS, but it also makes you think to yourself “do I know this is true? Or am I just spreading a false headline?”
If this was implemented for more people, the main stream news would be out of business lol.
And every dork that said
@realDonaldTrump wants to ban abortion (2%)
@RobertKennedyJr is anti vax(2%)
Would shut up.
Then we might actually be able to get to some truth instead of repeating bull shit all the time.
@vijayvinyl The fact that you think you’re saying that as a bad thing is bizarre. Ever wonder why the media has attempted to nuke the names of these 3 people? Maybe go listen to any of them talk for more than 5 seconds
You would be eaten alive my guy. Also, the dude can talk for hours, probably days, and has dozens of policies, and ideas on how to fix these problems.
The man has been cleaning up the environment and researching chemicals and health protocols for 40 years
Not to mention, you think there was about 60% chronic disease 60 years ago, we just didn’t know how to test for it? Come on
Also, what is with this new phenomenon where if someone points out a problem, before even listening to what the person says someone posts
“STOP SCARING PEOPLE HOW ABOUT DISCUSSING SOLUTIONS!!!”
This is the problem with the liberal mind, you would be very surprised to find out that people have their own brains and you don’t need to control their thoughts for them
@KamalaHarris reminds me of a new YouTuber. She’s got an idea in her head of what the president is supposed to look like, so she’s running a little program trying to do those things and make those gestures. Like a little dollar store Obama doll.
I imagine her internal dialogue is something like this
“Ok self, here comes a question,
Say something positive
Laugh
Move your hands around a lot
Stare them in the ideas and squint to make them feel your power
That’s it, keep generalizing the topic
Ok NOW try to say something very vague about the topic regarding the future that George Washington might have said
Say it again but differently
SAY IT ONE MORE TIME BUT DIFFERENTLY
Nod at them like they are a child and smile to look confident
Say you have to go so it looks like you’re busy”
Whew dodged that bullet, nailed another interview I am good at this!
If you can’t say a single nice thing about the opposing candidate you need to shut your phone off and go for a walk in the woods or something.
The amount of people complaining because @realDonaldTrump laid a wreath for the veterans is wild. Just stop
@cmclymer That’s a good way to twist a headline “200 republican alumni”
Another headline that’s unprovable and literally could be talking about the mail clerk interns that worked in the White House 35 years ago
@libbyemmons What a cunt. In what world do you have to live in to believe you can “demand” anybody do anything that has nothing to do with your dumbass
How clueless can you be. He could not “go in his pocket” and donate 40 billion dollars. He does not have 40 billion dollars cash
Not to mention if he just started handing out cash that he does not have it would go straight into greedy people’s pockets
ALSO, he did not destroy twitter, he SAVED twitter. This is now THE ONLY PLACE to safely get unbiased news and hear what people are actually saying without being censored which long term is worth trillions of dollars to our planet
I actually said I think billionaires should donate all their money and spread it out amongst the population. However I was 14 years old and I’ve grown a bit since then.
Imagine if @DNC weren’t completely corrupt. The world should have looked like this :
@RobertKennedyJr challenged @JoeBiden in the primary
Biden debates him, and everyone agrees that Biden is too old. Instead of torching his legacy pushing him like a puppet, he bows out with grace 8 months ago.
They run a primary.
Kennedy is not drug through the mud. He is not called an “anti vaxxer” but an “environmental hero”
@KamalaHarris gets absolutely nowhere near winning the primary.
The Democratic Party embraces the Kennedy name, and his vision of unifying, and his refusal to speak negative about the opposing party.
He’s on the news every night giving interviews and doing debates.
He wins in a landslide, the democrats likely have clear control for the next 8 years.
America heals, and grows.
*RECORD SCRATCH*
Why didn’t this happen?
He would’ve pissed all over @BlackRock ‘s and pharmas party.
The democrats are basically the wolf of Wall Street right now throwing a big party with government money
Don’t worry, the 200 million dollars they spent marketing Kamala will be repaid to their donors in the form of a 10 billion dollar check for “weapons”
I think if you are a former Trump hater and you’re wrestling with the fact that you are now going to, or are considering voting for him, here are some things to consider.
You might be thinking “was I wrong this whole time?” or “how did I not see this?”
When your uncle smacks you on the shoulder next week and says “Finally smarten up and come over to the good side!?” Here are some things you might consider saying :
Trump acted like an asshat in his first election. Which probably kicked down the walls of politicians treating each other respectfully, exploded the emotional attacks and divided the country so aggressively. We’ve never heard politicians speak like that, name calling and what not.
When we voted last, our businesses were closed, schools closed, stuck in our houses with masks on. He effed that one up.
Also, if you were a normal person who watched the news, it is perfectly fair to have the opinion that he was terrible.
People are always going back in time and saying “i should’ve done this or that”
At the time, you made the decisions you did based on the information you had.
There is no way you could have known, or should have believed that one political party owned and dominated all of the media, and that every story you saw was filled with twisted manipulations in the United States of America.
ON THE FLIP SIDE
The democrats concealed themselves well, and quickly changed as a party 🐍
They have went off the damn rails at a high rate of speed in the past 15 years.
Had they not over reached and
1. Tried to push Biden through half alive
2. Stuck a rando in to replace him without a vote, and force fed you that you loved her
3. Relentlessly attacked @RobertKennedyJr and subverted democracy via law-fare and media blackouts
They probably would have kept the wool over everyone’s eyes.
Also to the positive, @realDonaldTrump is still feisty, but he seems to be no longer outright ignorant. He admitted today he didn’t know who to trust and was taking other peoples opinions on things, and he made mistakes the first time around.
The Democratic Party in 8 years went from, maybe ok? Probably not but it atleast looked that way? To awful.
The republicans went from, I thought quite shitty, to great, inclusive of many ideas and acting respectable. I think Trumps bully tactics 8 years ago flocked to him a bunch of whimpy losers who wanted to stand next to the big guy and feel strong.
Now I think he is a much better and more respectable leader, and he has a team of legends around him.
I’m sure this is probably irritating for MAGA people because you are going to want to say “ HAHA WE SAW IT ALL ALONG!!”
You simply watched a different news source that fed you different information.
So tell your uncle to suck it, you made the best decision at the time voting against him, based on the information you had, and you’re making the best decision now based on the very new and very different information you have.
