I was going to call this dumb, but former NTSB board member John Goglia just texted me and told me to reply with this instead:
The issue raised in The Rehearsal is whether the authority gradient affects copilots' willingness to assert themselves at critical junctures and captains' willingness to hear copilots in those moments.
Neither the question nor the answer dealt with this well-recognized cockpit issue. Nor the NTSB's analysis of the issue of what was lacking in current training and its recommendation of role-playing to ameliorate this situation.
People seem to need a hysteria. We pivoted right from Covid-is-going-to-kill-everyone to Russia-is-going-to-conquer-all-of-Europe. Total nonsense. Eventually the light bulb will turn on and you’ll see how brainwashed you were.
Again: what’s the vision here?
We’re slashing NIH and NSF so … what? Basic health research is some of the best bang for buck in govt. And it can be much, much better than status quo.
What’s the plan to supercharge American science to usher in our “golden age”? Where is it??

Trump: "The day before I heard the word 'covid' or 'pandemic,' I had a meeting with political people and pollsters and they said, 'Sir, if George Washington and Abraham Lincoln got together and ran as president and VP, they couldn't beat you.'"
And we are back! I will give my x earnings to someone who reposts this message and follows this account. Will pick a winner at random on Sunday am. Good luck!! 😀
Where I’ve landed
1. Grocery inflation sucks.
2. Interest rates are high.
3. Telling people “the economy is better than your experience of it” is a waste of time
4. But … Unemployment is low, real wages are growing
5. And the natl economy really is better than ppl think —>
Nick Offerman won a Spirit Award for #TheLastOfUs and used his acceptance speech to slam the toxic backlash to his episode.
"When homophobic hate comes my way and says, ‘Why did you have to make it a gay story?’ We say, ‘Because you ask questions like that. It’s not a gay story. It’s a love story, you asshole!”

Today I noticed that the Folger's Shakespeare Library softcovers look suspiciously like cans of LaCroix. Here is a 🧵of pairings, starting with A Midsummer Night's Dream and a lovely can of fizzy lemon water.
