Let me tell you what actually happens when you build a Polymarket bot. Not the version CT sells you. The real version. Because someone has to say this out loud. Every few days a new account appears with the same post. Regular guy. Tough month. Opened Claude at midnight. Typed a prompt. Woke up to $80,000 profit. Now selling the method. The comment section goes crazy. Thousands of saves and everyone asking for the prompt. And somewhere a beginner deposits real money trying to replicate it. That beginner is the product. The bot story was just the packaging. Here is what i actually deal with building on Polymarket: Colocated competition running servers in Ireland with sub-millisecond execution paths. 100-300 parallel websocket connections filtering stale ticks in real time. Pre-staged HMAC signatures built before windows open so zero serialization happens on the hot path. Ghost fill reconciliation loops running every 30 seconds to catch silent failures. Regime filters separating weekday flow from weekend behavior because the same strategy prints one day and bleeds the next. This is months of engineering work that breaks constantly and requires daily monitoring to stay profitable. APIs update and bots stop working overnight. Polymarket pushes V2 and everything built on V1 logic needs rebuilding. Edge cases you never modeled in testing show up in live markets and erase weeks of gains in one session. And when everything works correctly - margins are still thin. 1-3% per trade sounds incredible until you account for infrastructure costs, fees and the inevitable losing streaks that hit every strategy eventually. The fantasy is passive income on autopilot. The reality is a technical engineering project that demands constant attention. Real edge exists here. I am building toward it every single day. But no prompt has ever created it, not once. Stop reading bs guides and absorb real alpha. There are not so many honest creators left unfortunately. WAGMI.
