Closing Ceremony of AFC "C" Licence Coaching Course was held in G dh. Madaveli in collaboration with FAM and Madaveli Council, marking the successful completion of the programme conducted from 6th to 20th August 2026.

A total of 20 participants took part in the course.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all who contributed to the success of this programme, and we wish the newly certified coaches all the very best in their future officiating journey.

President Dr @MMuizzu launches Falah Preschool’s official website during the school’s Golden Jubilee ceremony, providing a dedicated platform to share information about the school and its activities.

The ceremony honored long-serving members of the school community, with long-service awards presented in recognition of their contributions. A commemorative certificate was also presented to the designer of the Jubilee logo.

Ali Khushruwan Ahmed, Aamin Umar Moosa and Eyan Ahmed made history with outstanding podium finishes at Maldives Pro 2026 – IBC World Tour.

Local legend Ali Khushruwan Ahmed and Aamin Umar Moosa battled their way to the semi-finals of the Men Rising Series, showcasing the strength of Maldivian bodyboarding on the international stage.

Eyan Ahmed went one step further, claiming the Junior Men Rising Series Qualifying title and etching his name into the history books.

This year’s competition featured three divisions, (Men Rising Series, Women Prime Series, Junior Men Rising Series Qualifying), bringing together talented bodyboarders from across the world.
The event showcased the Maldives as a premier destination for international bodyboarding while providing a platform for emerging and established athletes to compete on the world stage.

The Addu Zone 9th Rajje Junior Swimming Championship 2026 concluded in Hithadhoo, Addu City, following five days of competition from 15–20 August.

Advisor to the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness, Ahmed Nareesh, attended the closing ceremony and celebrated the achievements of the young swimmers.

MTCC delivered a dominant performance, defeating Dhivehi Sifainge Club in 3-1 sets to claim their maiden VAM Cup title.

Basic Fitness Instructors Course is being conducted in AA. Ukulhas from 18–24 August 2026, equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills to guide and support fitness activities in their communities.
The course is facilitated by Ahmed Riza and Deputy Minister Abdulla Ibrahim, with 16 participants taking part in the training.

The ongoing “Hashiheyoraajje” Program in N. Manadhoo is being conducted through the collaborative efforts of Noonu Atoll Hospital, Noonu Atoll Police Station, N. Manadhoo Council, and the WDC of N. Manadhoo. The program has brought together 50 women from diverse age groups to promote health, wellness, and active living within the community.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Noonu Atoll Hospital for its valuable support in conducting pre-program health assessments and vital health checks. Their contribution has played a significant role in the successful implementation of this initiative.

Commissioner of Sports Mohamed Tholal presented the Cup Winners Cup 2026 Trophy to Maziya Sports & Recreation following a thrilling final against New Radiant Sports Club.

The match ended 2–2 after regulation time, with Maziya securing the title 6–4 on penalties.

The tournament features 16 teams in the Men’s Division and 9 teams in the Women’s Division, bringing together athletes and teams for two weeks of competitive action.

A productive training session on MQA procedures and compliance standards was held today, facilitated by the team from the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA), especially CEO Ms. Aminath Fizana Rasheed.
The session brought together participants from the Youth Department, Fitness & Recreation Department, and MNIS, strengthening their understanding of quality assurance, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
