Connectivity is key for wildlife like wolverines and grizzlies. Dr. William Newmark explains in @ParksTraveler that there are successful efforts to reconnect habitats.
"(Y2Y is) one of the more successful stories of large-scale connectivity in the world."https://t.co/6zZGhVe08z
Before and after photographs. Impressive Durras Lake shoreline rehabilitation project. You cannot have a health coastal lake without a healthy catchment. Think globally act locally.
Brilliant demonstration of how soil organisms decompose, fertilize & recycle.
No soil #biodiversity and …the system stops (and so soil health by the way!)

Since purchasing Toledo, a merino sheep farm in the NSW Southern Tablelands, Dr Robyn Alders has been working with GER’s regional partnership @K2WLink & organisations such as @ifawAU to improve the health & biodiversity of her property.

On a walk in England, Scotland or Wales you might chance upon fragments of a globally rare habitat: temperate rainforest. Can campaigners help these forgotten forests thrive? https://t.co/RzD92uLauZ
.@Dom_Perrottet if you support the Nationals knee-jerk reaction to introduce legislation to strip Local Gov of their powers to restrict private logging in #Koala habitat.
How will you tell yr kids you reignited the #KoalaWars & support #KoalaExtinction.
Is it worth it?

Major dams contribute to declining platypus populations. They prevent movements, which restricts the exchange of genes to maintain healthy populations.
As @mijangos_luis (@UniCanberra) writes, it also increases the risk of inbreeding and other harms. https://t.co/V6t2CG04io

A highlight of #GERConnect22 was learning about @conserv_futures, a platform weaving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge systems to create a place to understand, protect and heal Country. Thanks @bec_spindler for sharing this important work!

@TinaZacher Our small volunteer run group has raised and spent close on $1 million on habitat restoration where Koalas live in this area. What we need is ongoing political pressure to cease logging native forests, install road crossings where necessary, and connect habitat.
We're weeks away from #COP27, where world leaders will come together for the biggest climate conference of the year. So, what IS COP27, why is it important, and how can you take action? https://t.co/856JV2jIXc
