Week after week, I try to alert readers to the gravity of Britain’s predicament. I write about our debt being the fourth-largest in the world; about having to borrow £130bn a year; about spending most of that £130bn servicing the interest on past borrowing.
And you know what? Hardly anyone cares. Perhaps the sums are too large to grasp, or perhaps we assume that the people in charge know what they are doing. Either way, there is a chasm between what the electorate expects and what the Government can provide.

In 2020, Shami Chakrabarti, a Labour peer, said Black Lives Matter protests were “a movement not a moment”.

She said Extinction Rebellion “is in a noble tradition of peaceful direct action so that ordinary people might be heard”.

She then said Palestine Action “includes criminality” but that banning it was “a step too far”.

Now she wants to designate working-class men and women who are peacefully protesting the invasion of Britain as “terrorists” and have them banned altogether.

Do you see the hypocrisy?

This should make you angry.
This is Bonnie Pierce, a 38-year-old mother of three from St. Paul, Minnesota. Her house caught fire. She and two of her children escaped, then realized her toddler was still inside.
Bonnie went back in, found the child, but could not get out. She shielded the child with her body. She died from her burns. The child survived.
A GoFundMe for her family raised about $42,000.
By comparison, more than $1,000,000 was raised on GoFundMe for Lindsay Clancy, who was charged with killing her children.
It is a sad reflection of the society we have become.

Channel 4 have done a sting operation on Reform UK.

Of course they have a right to expose weaknesses but neither have done a sting operation on Labour, who are actually in government. It’s not consistent.
