This is me in my first Toronto apt with my first guitar. I lived in a rooming house and the rent was $135 a month. I was so young and dumb then that I didn't know that you shouldn't live in a rooming house with 8 people and share one bathroom. But look at how young and dumb I am!

As a young man, my dream was to write for the National Lampoon magazine. Instead, I wrote for the school paper: The Mount Royal Reflector. This picture was a part of a photoshoot I did trying to come up with silly gags for the paper and trying to do performance art in the halls.

Some sad news: we have lost our beloved costume designer on Kids in the Hall, who put up with us as 5 difficult young men on our first tv show and then grew so close and indispensible to all of us that we threw her on the bus for several tours and Kids projects.
