The CCP wants the world to believe Beijing has the right to control the next Dalai Lama. It does not.
Look at what happened to the 11th Panchen Lama, Gendun Choekyi Nyima. Recognised by the Dalai Lama in 1995, he was taken by Chinese authorities as a child and has never been independently seen since. Beijing then installed its own candidate.
And the so-called “Golden Urn” process used by Beijing has been challenged as politically manipulated. Arjia Rinpoche later recounted that Ye Xiaowen, then China’s religious affairs chief, told him the selection was rigged by placing cotton in one pouch so the government’s preferred candidate would be selected.
Now Xi Jinping and the CCP want to repeat this with the Dalai Lama.
They have no religious authority to choose the Dalai Lama’s reincarnation. Tibetan Buddhism is not controlled by the CCP.
This video does not expose the truth. It attempts to whitewash a record of political interference, repression and the disappearance of a child recognised as the Panchen Lama.
Beijing cannot manufacture Tibetan spiritual leadership. Tibetans will decide their religious future.

A sacred Tibetan pilgrimage site is being turned into a stage for Party propaganda.
In Gonjo County, Tibetans reportedly protested on September 8 after Chinese authorities began plans to build a Party propaganda site beside Tsamzhung Mani Druduk, an ancient and revered religious site.
According to sources, authorities plan to install a large stone slab carrying the Party slogan “In Memory of the Party’s Kindness,” with completion planned for 2027.
For generations, Tibetans have come here to pray. Now politics is being pushed into a place of faith.
A sacred site should be a place for prayer, not propaganda.

On this day in 1987, 21 monks from Drepung Monastery walked into Lhasa carrying a hand drawn Tibetan flag. They called for Tibetan independence and expressed their devotion to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
They were peacefully protesting. Their reward was arrest.
Five Tibetan laypeople were also detained as the protest spread around the Barkhor. What followed was a wave of demonstrations, arrests and brutal repression that would continue for years.
Those 21 monks knew the risks, but they chose to stand for Tibet anyway.
38 years later, their courage still matters. The flag they carried, the freedom they demanded and the voice they raised for Tibet have not disappeared.
Tibet remembers. Tibet resists. Tibet will be free.

I think about this post a lot. May all sentient beings be free from suffering.

Messages call on Xi to release Chinese prisoners as he visits Washington
The Human Rights Foundation projects images and messages on the East Building of the National Gallery of Art in Washington calling on Chinese President Xi Jinping to release political prisoners, as he begins a state visit to the United States

In CCP China, it has become almost routine for people to be too afraid to help an elderly person who has fallen.
At the top, power struggles never seem to end. At the bottom of society, even the most basic trust and compassion between people have been eroded.
Even after being sentenced to 7 years and 3 months, Chow Hang-tung refused to stay silent.
Days before her sentencing, she challenged Beijing’s attempt to confiscate items from Hong Kong’s June 4 Museum, which preserves the memory of those killed in the 1989 Tiananmen crackdown.
Tibet knows this story too well: control the memory, erase the history, silence the people.
Chow has stood with Tibet. Now Tibet stands with Chow.

Americans are “Chinamaxxing” on TikTok, turning China into an online fascination while Beijing works hard to make its power, technology and image look irresistible.
It may look harmless. It isn’t always.
The CCP understands soft power. Make people admire the system, normalise its propaganda and slowly make repression easier to ignore.
The danger is not learning about China or its people. The danger is allowing CCP influence to shape what people see, believe and accept while censorship, surveillance and repression are pushed out of the picture.
Look at Tibet, Hong Kong and Xinjiang. The same government selling a glossy image abroad is silencing people at home.
Don’t confuse fascination with truth. And don’t let Beijing’s propaganda become your reality.

Rep. Jim McGovern has a message for Xi Jinping and Donald Trump ahead of their summit:
Release prisoners of conscience. Give the world proof that the Panchen Lama, Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, is alive. And if he wants to speak to his people, let him.
For decades, the Panchen Lama has been denied the freedom to speak publicly, while his whereabouts and wellbeing remain a matter of international concern.
Human rights cannot be pushed aside when leaders sit down to discuss trade, security and power. Political prisoners and the missing Panchen Lama must be on the agenda.

Mao – The Bloodiest Idiot Who Ever Lived
Between 45 and 80 million dead. Not in war. Not in camps, mostly. In peacetime, in a country at peace with itself, killed by a series of decisions so stupid that a competent farmer could have refuted every one of them in an afternoon. This is what happens when a warlord with no education in anything runs a billion people – and is applauded from Paris while he does it.
1. The sparrows. In 1958 he decided the birds were eating the grain. So the entire country was mobilized to kill them: villagers banging pots and drums for days so the sparrows could not land, until they dropped dead from exhaustion. Hundreds of millions killed. Then came the locusts, which the sparrows had been eating. The harvest was devoured. The country had to import sparrows from the Soviet Union. A single conversation with an ornithologist – or a farmer – would have prevented it. There was no such conversation, because by then nobody told Mao anything he had not already decided.
2. The backyard furnaces. He wanted to overtake British steel production, so ordinary people were ordered to smelt steel in their yards. Millions of households melted down their own pots, tools, door handles and farm implements in mud furnaces, burning their furniture and their doors for fuel. What came out was unusable pig iron, immediately discarded. They had destroyed working tools to produce slag. And they had done it during harvest season, so the crops rotted in the fields while the peasantry played at metallurgy.
3. The planting theories. Close planting: crowd the seeds together, because plants of the same class do not compete. Deep ploughing: turn the soil to two metres, because deeper roots mean bigger yields. Both were nonsense, both were imposed nationwide on the authority of a man who had never farmed, and both destroyed the harvest wherever they were applied. The agronomists who knew better had learned what happened to agronomists who knew better.
4. Then the lie ate the country. Local officials, facing quotas and terror, reported harvests that did not exist. The state requisitioned grain proportional to the fake numbers. So the villages that had reported the biggest imaginary surpluses had the most real grain taken away. People starved beside empty granaries while China exported food to prove the Leap was working. This is the systemic lie in its purest form: a country that had made truth a crime, then starved on the arithmetic.
5. Between 45 and 80 million dead. The range is that wide because nobody counted – counting would have been a political act. And when Mao was informed, at the Lushan conference in 1959, that the policy was killing people, the man who told him was denounced and purged, and the campaign was intensified. There is no version of this where he did not know. There is only a version where knowing did not matter.
6. Then he did it again to the mind. The Cultural Revolution: students beating teachers, children denouncing parents, temples and libraries and instruments burned, a decade spent severing a four-thousand-year-old civilization from its own memory. Not a side effect – the objective. Destroy the transmission and the new man appears. The new man did not appear. Only the wreckage did.
7. And all the while, Paris applauded. The French intelligentsia – professors, editors, philosophers, entire journals – declared Maoism the future, made the Little Red Book fashionable, and treated any report of the famine as reactionary propaganda. They were not deceived; the reports were available. They simply preferred the theory to the peasants. Sartre and his circle backed the Cultural Revolution while it was burning the libraries. They paid nothing. They were never asked to.
The lesson is not that Mao was evil, though he was. It is that he was stupid – and that stupidity at the top is only lethal when nothing below can correct it. Kill the price signal, kill the free press, kill the expert who contradicts you, and there is no mechanism left to stop a bad idea about sparrows before it becomes forty-five million funerals.
Every system that abolishes correction eventually kills at the scale of its own ignorance. Mao’s ignorance was enormous, and so was his population.
And his portrait still hangs over Tiananmen Square.
Dear #India.
This is an advice from #Tibet, who has fallen into #China's brutal rule.
DON'T TRUST chinese speech of #Brics summit, but look at what they are doing behind ; #CCP might prepare something, don't be caught offguard, be ready anytime, BE READY.
A huge thank you to this gentleman for saying what so many people need to hear.
As he pointed out, reporters keep talking about the devastation in “Nepal and China.” No. This disaster struck Nepal and Tibet.
Tibet has its own people, language, culture and a history spanning thousands of years. Yet because Tibet is tightly controlled, foreign journalists face severe restrictions and information from the region remains limited. That is precisely why the world is hearing so much about Nepal and so little about Tibet.
We must ensure reporting focuses on Nepal and Tibet, not China. This tragedy did not happen in “Western China,” “China’s Tibet,” or “Xizang.”
Tibet is Tibet. Calling it “Xizang” is part of Beijing’s effort to impose its political narrative and erase Tibet’s identity from global consciousness.
Thank you for using your voice to remind the world: do not let Tibet disappear from the story.

The Nepal–Tibet floods have revealed a disturbing information divide. In Nepal, journalists and survivors are documenting the devastation openly.
Across the border in Tibet, access remains tightly restricted and the public is largely left with Beijing’s carefully controlled narrative.

Putin didn't invade Ukraine because of NATO. He invaded because Ukrainians were proving democracy works.
Historian and Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum puts it plainly: Putin looked at Ukraine's democratic movement and thought, "If they can do it in Ukraine, then people could do it in Russia. So I need to crush this."
That's the real threat Ukraine posed. Not missiles. Not borders. A working democracy next door.
Applebaum frames the war as a fault line between the democratic and autocratic worlds. Russia isn't just trying to take territory. It's trying to erase Ukraine as a nation, reduce it to a colony, and send a message to every country that the post-1945 rules of Europe no longer apply.
Those rules were simple: no invasions, no wars, borders don't change by force. Russia understood exactly what it was breaking when it crossed into Ukraine.
The CCP can’t handle the truth. Everyone around the world who is free to hold a Tiananmen vigil should do so. It’s the least we could do to uphold the spirit of those being punished for that act of truth.
UN rights chief Volker Türk called for the repeal of #China’s Ethnic Unity Law, warning it legalizes forced assimilation and restricts the cultural, linguistic and religious freedoms of #Uyghurs, #Tibetans and #Mongolians.
Once for all: IT IS NOT a glacier collapse but the collapse of the mountain under the glacier that has provoked the catastrophic tragedy !
And a mountain DOESN'T collapse due to global warming but due to chinese blastings for roads, tunnels and dams building !
Beijing clearly does not want Four Rivers Six Ranges reaching Indian audiences.
After pushing hostile narratives through CGTN and other state propaganda platforms, there are now claims that pressure was put on India to delay the film’s September 11 release, just days before the BRICS Summit and Xi Jinping’s expected visit.
The film will now hit Indian theatres on September 18.
If Beijing is this desperate to silence a film about Tibet’s history and the Chushi Gangdruk, that alone should make people want to watch it.
Book your tickets. Fill the theatres. Let Tibet’s history be seen.
