In a ceremony presided over by President @WilliamsRuto and witnessed by a host of national leaders at the State House, Nairobi, this morning I was honoured to be sworn in as Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry.
Kenya faces urgent environmental challenges that require innovative solutions. As I assume this role, I am committed to tackling climate change, deforestation, and environmental degradation.
Our goal is to meet our environmental targets and set a standard for sustainable development through science-based, data-driven, and involve collaboration with communities, stakeholders, and international partners.
I am committed to transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in all our initiatives. By working with all levels of government, civil society, and the private sector, we can achieve a greener, more resilient Kenya.
I look forward to engaging with you all and building a sustainable future for our country and future generations.

‘How are they protecting you?’

Is the war trauma from the 90s finally catching up with Hussein Caydiid? He’s turning into a mindless story teller. Why don’t Habar Gidir save their leader from the embarrassment.
Chaos in Wajir County Assembly as MCAs physically wrestle Serjeants-at-Arms in an attempt to grab the mace.
The move comes after funds were allocated for the county First Lady's office and residences for the governor, deputy governor and speaker.
MCAs allege the governor is misusing public money with no visible progress on projects.
Islam is a religion that has inspired me so much in my adulthood that I have immersed myself in its study privately. Muslims have always come off to me as honest, disciplined people and that has always moved me.
A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don’t necessarily want to go, but ought to be. —Rosalynn Carter
