Salute to Rubina Khan, the last free child of the late Shaukat Khanum, for speaking truth without fear. With Imran Khan and her three sisters in jail, she still stands up. Courage runs in the blood. It cannot be taught, staged, or faked on TikTok.

First, 17 years in prison over social media posts. Now, 10 years each in a separate case. Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha are human rights lawyers facing sentences that raise grave concerns about freedom of expression and due process. They must be released immediately.

[Tehreek-e-Insaf @InsafPK]

BREAKING: Harry Kane wins the Ballon d’Or. What a worthy winner. Brilliant striker who had a magnificent season. And such a lovely guy. Congrats @HKane 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

[Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @MayorofLondon]

I’m delighted to see England captain and Londoner Harry Kane crowned the winner of the Ballon d’Or.

A well-deserved recognition after scoring an astonishing 73 goals for club and country last season - and who can forget the starring role he played at this summer’s World Cup, including the winning goal against Mexico on that magical night in the Azteca?

70 years after the inaugural Ballon d’Or was won by England’s Sir Stanley Matthews, it was fitting that the ceremony should come to London for the first time.

Not only is he a Tottenham and England legend, but he is now - officially - one of the greatest of all time.
