@afneil If Iran agree to take payment in USD I dont think the US will care about them charging a fee for a toll they dont really use. Protecting the petrodollar is more important than asia and Europe paying a few million $ a tanker
@Davejones0305 @MrMBrown Wasn't really the conservatives fault when gas prices spiked and caused inflation, or when the BofE started selling bonds at a loss to screw Truss over... but Labour love to use those for political gain. Im sure they'll say this is different though
@subarustevenz Its almost like you can pinpoint when money became meaningless.
The trend will continue so long as there isnt a currency backed by gold or silver
@lukejcr It never took hold. It exposed how pathetically indentured our government is to external influence. They both went and we got the same old story, Doom loops of spend and tax. If we gave it a chance... who knows, we might just have managed to actually grow the economy
@bphillipsonMP But the 30 hours was announced by the tories in their last budget... it only covers school term time aswell, so you've done nothing. If you want any credit expand the hours to cover school holidays too
@damian_from Its the primary source of all our issues now. The tax burden has to get ever higher to try keep services running, all because they purposely stagnated wages for decades with cheap labour.
@therabbithole Not surprising, they saturated the market with cheap labour from the former Soviet block and then when they'd caught up they've switched to African and middle Eastern Labour. Nobody can afford families when wages have stagnated for 25 years
@echo_chamberz Churchill wanted to fight the USSR after the war in operation unthinkable, the empire was hardly his fault. The USA mostly made sure it ended, you only have to look at the suez crisis to see that.
@BBCSport Played out of his mind, got a new contract and since has phoned in his performances. Not a Man U fan in the slightest but it's easy to see why they are in such a mess. Bad mentalities and too many big contracts
@Nigel_Farage only way this would be fair to any trained professional is giving them the degree and training needed free and then a number of years to serve until it's payed off. Don't expect them to pay their own way and then work for well under market value in a broken system like the NHS
@RobNoLastName I doubt it. You'll just get the same you see with democrat supporters on here. They know Biden is doing a terrible job but they'll gaslight themselves and dig their heels in insisting it's all perfect. Truth is neither party are worth a vote
