114 Stuff+ Rating on his splitter/changeup and he is using it more this season is a nice addition. To go along with his that has a 30% whiff rate as his best putaway pitch.

White Sox L30 days has ranked:

3rd highest whiff rate vs 95+ RHP fastball
10th highest whiff rate vs RHP Changeup
2nd highest whiff rate vs RHP Sliders

This White Sox matchup is a whiff machine, but can sometimes cause issues problems for pitchers because they don't chase. So pitchers that don't have great control end up getting too many walks/long counts to stack strikeouts.

Melton however, has only had 2 walks in 12 innings in the minors this season and had just an 8% walk rate in the big leagues last season.
