More Americans need to realize this about data centers: You and your town hold ALL the bargaining leverage against them. You don't need them, but the tech companies need your approval. And they're often willing to give you a massive return for it.

We shouldn't just throw that away by immediately saying, "NO." Instead, why not negotiate? Does your town need a brand-new hospital? Do you want all the roads in your county repaved? Want a guarantee that home electric bills go down by 20% forever? ASK FOR IT. They might just say yes.

If they refuse, or if you still just don't want a data center there, you can still say no! But at least now, you can weigh all your options and have a seat at the table.

My heart breaks for Lindsay Clancy. I hate that it took a tragedy like this to talk about women's mental health and postpartum depression. Too often, it is swept under the rug. 

Our healthcare system has failed women. Many women are given the baby, told good luck, and thrown out on the street.

These are real issues that impact tons of new moms. And it can lead to psychosis that gets worse with each child. The only way it changes is by addressing a healthcare system that is overwhelmed and unaccessible.
