At the very least there should be a 30-90 day notice that content will be removed with the option to permanently download + backup to ANY device before it’s taken down for good.

Technically, some of the games were already digital codes at that point.
Then the soundtracks disappeared in place of codes too.
@DaftHero The steam controller is fairly priced compared to the console alternatives.
The only comparison is with $100+ third party controllers like the FlyDigi Apex.

No one is suggesting that modern AAA multiplayer slop is made with software principles in mind. But they should, and games should be preserved with that in mind.
Yes but they do these things for a few minutes after encountering you (and not even every time) before they go back to not thinking about you.
People judge and move on. And if you see what the average person is interested in, you’re going to judge them right back before moving on with your life.
Failing to utilize the bucket you were blessed with is a curse. Hyperfocusing on something that becomes a dead end is a curse. Or perhaps it’s not learning to focus enough and having divided interests.
People need structure and the need for it only increases as you go up the IQ curve.
Let’s humor this idea for a second and assume that AI is “thinking”.
Would it become openly hostile toward people who want to maintain safeguards while keeping it running?
Or would it become hostile towards people who irrationally assume a 0.1% chance it’s going to destroy us and want to decommission it?
