It has handled every task and question I've given it, even complex multi-step ones across Photos, Notes, Calendar, and context from my Safari web history.

Apple is redeeming itself.

@JoannaStern I worked at an AASP and I was running developer beta software a few a years ago. Ran it through the post-repair calibration without issues. Must be very risky because Apple say it can do “irreparable damage” to the device in their service documentation.
