This is just a robbery. The president sues his own government and then pressures them to settle. He wants them to give him billions… of our money. This might be the worst case of corruption ever. A president directly robbing the citizens he’s supposed to serve and protect.
PabloReports: Ted Cruz called you a parasite and disparaged your work as a bartender.
AOC: It’s not a secret the disdain Ted Cruz has for people who work working-class jobs. It’s not a secret what he thinks of the waitresses, the line cooks—he thinks we’re less than him. He thinks that because he has a Harvard degree and has never scrubbed a table that it makes him better than someone who has actually had to work for a living.
I think it’s funny that he’s been taking a government paycheck for 23 years but has the audacity to criticize someone who has come from a family that had to work their way up and earn their place here.
Democrats redrew two states, only after letting the voters decide. Republicans have redrawn, so far, six states, without a single vote from the public.
Spare me your bullshit outrage, congressman.
Part of the issue there is that Victor got fouled twice, including McDaniels grabbing his other arm with 2 hands. And so when guys get beat up like that, they respond physically as well. Doesn't excuse the elbow, but could have been avoided by calling the first 2.
Jaden McDaniels shoves Carter Bryant into Naz Reid. Play is reviewed and overturned to a foul on Carter.
NBA officiating is the laughingstock of the sports world
Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
Is this a joke?
This is a joke, right?
Texas tax payers shelled out over $6 MILLION dollars to settle a case where Ken Paxton’s own staff sued him for firing them for being #whistleblowers in his corruption case.
Protect our tax dollars?!?
He literally steals them.
The case was built to produce this outcome. The RNC didn’t sue New York or California. They sued heavily Republican Mississippi — a state that severely limits who can vote absentee — to reach the 5th Circuit where three Trump appointees struck down the state law. The Supreme Court generally intervenes when a lower court has struck down a state rule. The venue was chosen for exactly that reason.
Today the conservative majority appeared sympathetic to ending the practice in 14 states. But the RNC submitted zero documented fraud cases from late-arriving ballots. Zero. Mississippi’s own Republican solicitor general said so at the argument.
In 2022, 20% of Alaska’s absentee ballots arrived after Election Day. Senator Murkowski said no state would face greater impact than Alaska. Alaska Native communities in villages accessible only by air and water depend on the grace period because their postal service operates on a different timeline than the continental United States.
The Trump administration asked the Court to carve out an exception for military and overseas voters. That exception tells you everything. If late-arriving postmarked ballots are an inherent threat to election integrity, the exception doesn’t exist. If the exception exists, the rule is about something other than integrity.
Wasn’t it proven that autopilot is programmed to disengage when it registers it’s about to crash?
If it turns off 4 seconds before impact that means the autopilot caused the crash
How are we this stupid
