This story contains details of an alleged murder that many people will find distressing.
A mother has been arrested in Wyong, on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, after a deeply disturbing incident involving her 4-year-old son. The home was on Byron Street in Wyong.

Authorities were called after the woman contacted police herself and allegedly confessed to eating part of her own child. Police went to the home after she reported the act.
The mother had a mostly clean record apart from older drink-driving matters. Child protection services had been contacted about the pair about 18 months earlier.

She has been taken for mental-health assessment while investigators examine whether drugs or a severe mental-health episode played a role.
Identities of the mother and child have not been released while the investigation continues.

📌 Canada exports to China: 3.8% of total exports. $29.9B in 2024.

📌 Canada-China total trade 2025: $124B

📌 Canada IMPORTS $90.6B from China. Exports only $34.1B. Trade DEFICIT: $56.5B

📌 Canada-US total trade: $1 TRILLION+. Every single year.

📌 Canada’s trade deficit with China has grown from $22B in 2005 to $57B in 2024.

🇺🇸 The US buys 76 cents of every dollar Canada earns abroad.

🇨🇳 China buys 4 cents.

And we owe China $57B more than they owe us. 👆

This is not a trading partner. This is a supplier we run a deficit with.

📌 What China buys from Canada: raw logs, canola, minerals, oil.

Commodities. 🪵

📌 What China sells to Canada: electronics, machinery, vehicles, everything manufactured.

They send us finished products. And Carney wants to use THAT as leverage against Trump.

You cannot replace your lungs with a straw. You cannot replace $1 trillion in integrated US trade with a $34B export relationship where you’re already losing $57B annually.

This isn’t trade diversification.
