@DigItScotland@GUARD_Archaeol@vivstan211240 @BannockburnNTS @bordnagaidhlig Here is a bronze Saltire and star of Bethlehem pendant I found, or to be be concise was given after knowing it was there since aged 5..it was down in alluvial clay 6ft from the Bannock Burn On the reverse, tiny letters R: Band below that tiny Lion Rampant
@vivstan211240 I've been wandering about the battlefield since age 5, that would be in 1954, practically sat on top of The Bruce Pendant, then along came a metal detector in 2008, I didn't find it, I was given it... Recently at @BannockburnNTS I wore it and and explained.
Nadine’s letter is almost as embarrassing as the correspondence sent to Boris Johnson from Buckley Town Council after he decided to endow Claire Fox with a peerage.
So my new book.... the first ever account of Scotland's Christmas is out and available to pre-order. I have some copies that I will sign if you'd like ....£16.99 for the softback and £24.99 for the hardback. £3 postage and packing in the UK!
And merely for clarification...here is the local Tory MP @Siobhan_Baillie with the owner of the Stroud PPE company/former local Tory Councillor Steve Dechan, who allegedly donated £7,500 to local Tory party after receiving huge untendered PPE contracts, as mentioned in the news. Dechan has defended his position re the recent articles about tax payments. Here also is his tweet from a while ago where he says he did "very very well out of the pandemic". The photos attached do not in any way suggest that anything improper politically has taken place.
There is, self evidently, a glaring difference. MPs are elected. However young they are when elected they can be removed by voters. This pair are appointed by a disgraced politician and will be legislating for life. We cannot remove them. That’s outrageous.

@vivstan211240@N_T_S@ProfTonyPollard Pike end the only part that survived but due to a young man in the Heritage center on the day giving me a sheet of A4 paper and a pen I could draw around what was left of the blade part and remake it to how it would have looked.. 😉🏴🏴🏴⚔️⚔️⚔️
@vivstan211240@N_T_S Think I found the axe that did the deed, and out of the same hole a piece of gritty wear, part of a bowl, possibly used by a Scot for his early morning Weetabix.. Shown on BBC evening news by @ProfTonyPollard who called it a wee gem..
Telegraph Headline Roulette:
"Britain is now a poor nation"
"An all-embracing economic decline is coming "
"We should celebrate what Brexit has already achieved"
And spin the wheel.....🤷🏼♀️
