Yesterday, the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO, the constitutional version of DOGE) published a Science & Tech Spotlight on the 'Medical Use of Psychedelics'.
According to GAO, over 340 trials on psychedelics were active between 2015 and early 2025.
"One sees whatever he wants, when looking into the uncertainty" - Xavier Bichat's critique of microscopy, which of course in time turned out to be essential to our understanding. The same critique is made of fMRI today.
