For those that cry job loss: most car salespeople can easily transition to other sales opportunities, as many interchangeably already do. But yes, online sales models eliminate human jobs. That is a reality. Not enough people are complaining to Amazon.
I'll probably never see direct-to-consumer car sales replace all car dealerships in my lifetime, but that is the holy grail that consumers wish for. Too much pressure to make as much profit as possible, and NADA is a powerful lobby.

My only complaint with @tim_cook was his lack of stage presence. There was no fun and exciting build-up to the next gotta-have-it reveal, no digs at competitor products. He had all the charm of an accountant doing stand-up comedy. Let's hope #johnternus can bring back the magic.
