@gazelligpoker check raise, supposing kj is our best bare k in this scenario, i think it's a slam dunk. Villain has one of his highest frequency cbets on this particular board pushing the value up of our top pair (he will also have to defend pretty wide if he cbets very high.
The first big blind of the day at my pal Joeโs table today has 3bb to start. He proceeds to hand this out to everyone ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

Common mistake I see in tournaments from inexperienced players is open shoving All-In, in spots you really donโt need to have any open shove range.
Thresholds you can go by to stop shoving & just min raise:
15bbs+ in early postion
20bbs+ in middle and late position (button can have some 20bb shoves)
A shove chart showing you can shove these hands is just saying itโs profitable but doesnโt mean itโs optimal. Lot of these shoves are razor thin ev where as raise folding the bottom of that shove range is going to be much higher ev. These days advanced charts will show you if shoving or raising is higher EV.
In general the more streets of poker and decisions you allow yourself to have, the more edge you can have on your opponents ๐
@Amo4sho@JonathanLittle@raiseyouredge Iโd go @raiseyouredge. Ben constantly updates his stuff, covers everything a new player needs to learn. Ive show a few beginner players in the past and they have learned fast
@samrosentweets @pokerguru740 @ACR_POKER yeah agree, i want to see a high vpip from him though and some evidence that he's a good aggro reg before i go down the blocker route here otherwise its very costly assumption and overfolding in such a unique spot is never gonna hurt us as dont think pop are too ool here
@samrosentweets @pokerguru740 @ACR_POKER Good point, definitely wanna have leads, but think very easy to punish when u arent dense in the card that comes on the turn. Like I said defo don't think this is whats happening here and we can get away cheaply facing this raise. I agree as well check turn
@pokerguru740 @ACR_POKER 4) Check call turn sounds dicey even i feel. So as played i'd assume he's at that narrow part of his range and the spot itself is so unique with the value being easy to play in his shoes but the bluffs being unintuitive and hard to find.
