@qprjohn11@secondtierpod Hull have earned fuck all. Winning a semi-final does not equal promotion. Have to play another game to get that, always been the way.
Dear Southampton. It’s not “manifestly unfair”
It’s an absolute necessity that you don’t have a shot at the Premier League if there’s even a tiny chance you got there unfairly - which is your bad because you were arguably, easily good enough to get there without spying.
Now go apologise to your fans.
I've got no skin in this other than - and this matters to me! - as a football fan.
It seems to me that, far from being harshly treated, @SouthamptonFC have got off lightly. The evidence they admitted to shows a concerted, planned and repeated operation to spy on opponents. And that's just the three they've fessed up to. It's surely a lot more.
Frankly being removed from the play-offs and a 4 point deduction seems lenient.

Show me the difference? There is zero precedent for just promoting the remaining team.
@shanehagan24@Barbsmfc86@slbsn Southampton were already charged by the EFL before the first game. The hearing was already gonna happen. But rewrite history, go on.
Maybe don't cheat?

How is it any different to this? Had there even been an instance of a team being automatically promoted rather than the losing team being reinstated?

There is literally no precedent for just promoting the other team. The losing team gets reinstated.
@SouthamptonFC@Boropolis The £200mil isn't a fine. It wasn't yours. You weren't guaranteed it. The reason you can't fight for it is all your own doing. Sit down and shut up.
